  • Memorabilia-Easts Best tries

Well here are some of Easts best tries from the 70's and on. It brings back a lot of memories especially from the old Sports ground when you can run on to the field to pat the back of the players after the game. I recall being a big fan of Hugh McGahan at his best. Anyway... enjoy!

To me ... you sound like those guys that always says 'I told you so.' Were you beaten up in school for being a pain in the arse?
You know if you don't like what someone posts, why not shut your trap and move on? It's easy.

I have watched it about 5 times before and yes it has been posted many times before, on here and other sites. But you know what? I'd rather a Rooster posts this than the 2003 GF 'highlights' or the 2004 or 2010 'highlights'.
I'd almost go so far as to say this should be made a 'sticky' so we can watch these whenever we lose.
BTW - I just wached it again, three more times.

I'd seen it quite a few times before, and I still think theres an error on it. The try scored by ...it says Wayne Challis, but to me looks more like Gary Wurth ?.

I agree. In fact, I can't remember Challis playing fullback. Did he?

                    Nope..

He played one game in the centres,a few off the bench,& the rest on the wing..

I can't remember him playing fullback either. But what was a little offputting was that Wurth wasn't wearing his customary headgear, and the co-commentator on the clip (was it Bill Anderson?) was blabbering on about something else and the name was never called and there was no commentary on the try !

fantastic memories, but sadly it shows how far mini has now come back to the pack, 10 years will do that to a footy player!

That was just a reminder of the speed Mini had.......sigh.

The curiosity got the better of me so I looked it up on rugby league tables. I hope this helps. The Roosters won 22 - 20. Challis and Wurth both scored tries and Ron Gibbs twice. Wurth is listed as the no.1 and Challis on the wing, so I reckon you're on the money.
