As long as he creates more than he costs then I don't care. Sit him inside SBW and outside Cordner or Aubusson and he'll have no issues whatsoever.

If we wanted a tackler we would have signed a backrower.

We'll see what u all are saying next year when he's missing tackles left right and centre. Remember he' even WORSE than Sandow! So that's saying a lot!

And even after saying that I don't think he's a bad defender anyway, he certainly doesn't lack for effort & guts, he just falls off some tough ones, he'll improve too!
I seem to remember that Carney's defence was terrible as well at times.

You couldn't wait for Kane Linnett to leave and he is statistically the best defensive centre in the NRL. He misses more tackles than Sandow because he has played a lot more games and doesn't defend on the wing.

We moved very well in defence Friday night, I think we can cover Maloney's defensive weaknesses as he does them. Put Geurra and Cordner either side of him and you have protection and options either side at the line.

I like what what I saw on Friday night from Elliott and what he's doing with our defensive structure. I liked the way SKD and BJ covered the edges if their wingers went in and the one marker within the 10 is a good idea, gives another body on the line.

                Chook.

Good defense is mainly about attitude and technique. I have seen nothing wrong with Maloney's attitude but his technique can be poor. That is something that can be improved through proper coaching. Iam not convinced he is getting that at the Warriors.
