    That's true.

The funny thing is that they are never out of form when they are playing for a contract upgrade. Or when the coach gets sacked. I mean Brad Arthur must be the best coach in the world they way he turned Parra around. And for the soccer fans Roberto Di Matteo as well, great manager.

Maybe that is what is needed these days. A new coach every week.
No chance of the players getting sick of the long term coach & throwing a hissy fit.

I don't know mate but it happens in every sport around the world.

I still say Smith should go. My point is though that the players are never held accountable and should also share some of the blame.

I can see Aubusson being a star under Hasler/Bennett/Bellamy/Stuart. I guarantee he will be an origin player if given the chance to play under one of those 4 coaches.
At best maubs is an honest tolier, at worst he's to slow and lacking in footwork to be a centre and entirely non threatening as a second rower.

Is a poor man's Chris Flannery and will never play Origin regardless of who he's coached by

Fair call, entitled to your own opinion.

I beg to differ though and think he can flourish

Maybe if the coach actually dropped players for poor performances, then the players might see the consequences of their actions and pull their heads in.

At present we have players who have been terrible almost every week for the last 2-3 years, yet they are walk up starters every week. So it creates the impression in the players mind that they are an integral part of the team and above criticism or dropping.

Maybe if some of the "big names" were dropped for crap performances i.e. Anasta, Aubusson, Nuuasala, Masoe, Friend and young guys like Bosden, Symonds, Evans etc were given a shot then it might light a fire under some of our players and get them to give 100% every week.

I seriously wish I could be as crap at my job as some of these guys have been, and still turn up and get a very healthy pay cheque each week without fear of being sacked.

Yeah smith is a ****ed coach. But our team are ****ed in teh head. And they were way before Smith got here. Its their culture the culture of the club. it breeds ****wits that act like this. Soft pricks. Precious little skirts.
i think if you have concerns with the way things are run you have a right to voice your opinion. the players just like the coach, fans, board etc are stakeholders. look at the examples you have given as to who was questioned. anderson, fittler, smith. anserson got rid of video sessions and employed 1 marker. freddy was out boozing it up and knocking on random peoples hotel rooms. not sure what smith is doing but it certainly isnt working. you dont hear about anyone questionning hasler, bellamy etc. i think it is coaches responsibility to get on with players just as much as players to get on with coaches. if your talking about respect then that goes both ways too and players should be able to be heard.

and is this why we keep seeing the same underperformers regain their position? if you keep your mouth shut heres your jumper, if you care enough to question my failing methods you will be dropped?

smith should earn the right not to be questioned.

What these disgaces are doing, lying down, throwing games, is inexcusable.

Teh worst offenders are the senior dickheads.

Braith Anasta would have been dropped after that warriors game. 1 run for 1 metre.

Screw that, he would have been dropped last year.

I see frustrated players clearly out of form but none lying Down

Aubusson has had one quiet season but so have 90% of other players throughout the history of sport. If he puts in two or three seasons of crap then that is when we should be concerned. Anasta for example.
