  • Parramatta's win last night, and what it means to us

If anyone didn't know, Parramatta beat Brisbane last night, 42-22
This means that they are only 3 points behind us.
It means we are closer to the spoon
Parramatta have the Tigers next week, which should be an easy win if they play like they did tonight. We have the Dragons, and they will be confident after beating Storm. Its a must win for us, as if the Eels win and we lose, they will only be 1 point behind us ahead of round 23.
And in Round 23, we are playing Parramatta, at Parramatta Stadium. I don't know about this one, but if they win, suddenly we are in last. Now I'm not a fan of 'Roosters Wooden Spoon 2012' and I don't think its going to happen, but it is very, very possible, as Penrith and Parramatta are starting to step up their game.

It would be a perfect and fitting end for Captain Overrated to receive the spoon in his last match with a C beside his name. Maybe melon can get some really huge wooden spoons made so all the players can lift Braith onto them and carry him from the field. A fitting end to his tenure.

        Chook.

We hget the spoon and then the brilliant marketting and front office will come up with "New Attitude...New Beginning Mk II" to suck in the punters yet again. Whilst the same leeches feed off the bloated corpse of Easts.

              lol, perfect.

What about a spoon shaped banner for them to run through in round 26? The club could market it as the "Spoon Acceptance Round". We all wear spoon shaped caps and wave spoon shaped flags.

              It'll be awesome.

              Chook.

It was 10 years ago this year that I was handing them out to Souffs fans and laughing....who's laughing now.

Melon, I don't think "New Attitude... new beginning Mk2 " will be required.

Mk 1 was hardly used and is virtually new condition.

How sad is it that I have both a Melon Vermin spoon and a Roosters one from 2009 sent to me by a Vermin loving acquaintance (friend's partner). He said at the time that the spoon was part of a pair and I can guarantee the bastard is getting out the spray cans as we speak to decorate the matching one in RW&B, just in case!

I was hoping to have the opportunity to send him one before receiving another one God damn it!!

Fire up boys - if you have any respect for this footy club at all your determination to avoid the spoon should by far outweigh your petty dislike of the coach!! Do what you're paid for and win a few bloody games.
