When did Kennedy have good form?
I keep hearing people bag Pearce but at least he has played a couple of good seasons, Kennedy, has he had a good game? I just don't, and never have rated him

2010 and parts of 2011? A lot of people thought he would play Origin. Many still do.

There was a period after that embarrassing falcon in 2010 when he finally kick started his career with quite a few good performances. A few good games last year as well but he has been rubbish for a while now...

Two in your "sweet spot" as well, and three that "go beyond". The two teams are relatively comparable in terms of experience, except one languishes on the bottom of the table whilst the other is entrenched within the top 5. Now that to me suggests one thing - the quality of our cattle is terrible and the coaching staff is absolutely shyt
True but they are missing Hodges, Teo and McCullough (92) through injury. They are also running around 50% W/L over the last 6-8 weeks.

Our squad is not affected by injury as far as I can tell, just bad planning.

The quality of their half dozen veterans is also superior to ours, though I accept that was not my original point.

I actually think the broncos is a great comparison because they also have a very young roster but have done a good job at providing not just experience but quality experience to support it - Thaiday, Parker, Petero, Hodges et al. We have not provided that same quality experience for our kids.

Not sure where you are getting your numbers but according to NRL.Com, the following players are in their team this weekend:

                  Payne - 122
                  Stagg - 177
                  Perrett - 151
                  Morris - 124
                  Inu - 106
                  Eastwood - 117
                  Pritchard - 185
                  Ennis 163

Along with Tolman (93) and Graham who is an old head with many years of Super League and Lions experience.

Or are we talking about some other bullscum?

Coaching and recruitment staff along with senior club management as far as I can tell.

When I say talent that includes the coach and the board.

We are talking about the same team. I was referring to your "sweet spot" for players, having played between 100-150 games. As I said before the bullscum's line up for this weekend have 6 players (and it would be 7 if we didn't hand Perrett over) who you would consider 'inexperienced' 1st graders. We would have had 6 as well if it wasn't for Perrett leaving just a few weeks back! Two of our "experienced" players are going crap for us in Mini and Anasta, and combine that with a comparable experience level with the competition leaders, and that leads me to believe that Smiffy has a lot to be accountable for!!!!!!!!!!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                          Here's looking at you, kid.

The point was always about balance between youth and experience. You defined "inexperienced" not me so I'm not sure where you get 6 from but it's kinda beside the point. My point was that we have too many players under 100 games and not enough balance of youth and experience.

I know you believe that Smith is the problem and I am not absolving him - he has a lot to answer for - but IMO the squad we have in place for this year is too heavily skewed to youth and a number of the problems we are seeing (ill-discipline, panic, lack of cohesion in red-zone defence) can be connected to that, hence the point of my post.

I agree with you in that if we were to truly compete for the title this year we needed the more experienced players such as Carney, Myles and Ryles in our side. Our two most experienced players are just crap. I'm glad that you have made it clear that you do not absolve Smiffy from the blame for our predicament, as I will admit from the beginning of this thread I thought it was just another attempt of trying to make excuses for him and I will apologize to you for my misunderstanding.

Imo we have enough experience in our side to at the very least make the bottom 4 of the top 8. Our main problem is our side has an attitude problem and Smiffy is to blame for this! Smiffy has had 3 years which is enough time to construct the side the way he wants. He has done this job extremely poorly!! Smiffy was incapable of instilling discipline with Carney and Myles therefore he took the soft option of just letting them go. This has f**ked us!!
