Starting to lose faith

I am a Rooster through and through and always will be, however over the last 2 seasons I am starting to loose faith in the direction of this club. We have a solid side with some young players coming through and the new recruitment policy is 'Youth', the club then blows this out the door by trying to sign $BW on $800k for 1 season, we then have Sam Perret and Anthony Mitchel walking out on us... Now there are report of Mitchel Pearce and a High profile forward wanting a release as well. If we want this club to go forward and help these young kids develop SACK BRIAN SMITH!!! he will end up destroying this club...

Lots of good young players

League is a reactionary game, not many people get lucky as quick as the Dogs

Most have to build something, look at the Eagles and Storm prior to assembling these good sides. It's something new for us and at least it's not the late 80's and early 90's where we were going broke at the same time as being directionless on the field.

Remember we could have been the socks in the Saint George Easts Dragons!

Yes it's getting harder and harder as the season goes on with only one win in over 2 months. But I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. We do have some talented young players and with Maloney, Oldfield and SBW on the way things will surely get better.. The media (Telecrap) love nothing better then kicking us when we are down. Try and remember that. I must admit I am finding it more and more difficult to stay motivated and watch the team, but I do believe we are in a much better place than we were in 2009. It's also interesting to note that the so-called dramas the club is embroiled in at the moment is coming from one main source - the Telecrap. The Fairfax media doesn't seem to be so intent on destroying the club or blowing the situation out of proportion.
Keep the faith.

This is how I see it.
No real leader and we havnt really had one since Freddy.
Too many young blokes getting starts at once . meaning that their fitness levels are down compared to the opposition .Their bodies are not used to the week in week out grind.
Injuries have played a role especially in the early part of the season.
So called leader (mainly last year ) lead other players astray.
As for the coach 50/50 call if he goes an another comes in .That bloke will get all the glory for the pain Smith has put in for bringing on the young blokes.
As for SBW you can build a side with him he is a disciplined athlete they will look up to him and he will lead by example.
As for Perret and Ant.
Perret average to sage with a few mistakes , cant score tries
Ant no loss.
Form well occasionally the can aim up but get deflated easily when things dont go their way.
These blokes need a bit more Fitness, experience and a better attitude adjust those and they will go alright.
Moga, Cordner are bright lights .The players will thrive with Maloney once he settle in.
I believe Smith is experimenting with these blokes to see what style will suit them .Mostly young we hoped for too much.
You can build a young team but you still need to sign leading hands ,I reckon Maloney and SBW will fit the bill.It would be a coup if we could get Folau then we could say we have a backline with size power and skill.
Cant wait for Tevesheck to join in as well.
They are playing with their heads between their asses at the moment only one good win will do it .The Souffs game was a massive deflater.

This off season should be exciting. I reckon it'll be a whole new start like the transition between 09 and 10. Not saying the same result but i think in the way the two seasons will be very different. The new ps3 league game looks like it might fill in the time too. Hope they add sbw in with a patch lol.

brain, a sensable retort as always, makes too much sense! as fans we all need to hang strong for the sake of our rwb, even when the going looks tough, im going along on friday night to see the boys give it to nate myles? we now have a number of young players more than reaqdy for first grade so next season promises a lot! mini might have to take a few weeks off?
