Originally posted by The Sack View PostThe only year SKD made an impact was in 2010. Before then and after then, he has been very ordinary to say the least. One of the laziest defenders in the NRL.
Player Games Tries T/G
Stewart 151 120 = .79
J Morris 123 80 = .65
B Morris 123 81 = .65
Slater 215 135 = .63
Inglis 150 93 = .62
SKD 115 72 = .62
Mini 244 113 = .46
Lyon 198 86 = .43
Jennings 116 67 = .57
His current strike rate of tries per match is comparable to all but the very best. It's the same as Inglis, only .01 behind Slater and better than both Mini, Jennings and Jamie Lyon.
P.S. How freaky are the Morris twins stats.Last edited by Waylander; 07-18-2012, 11:11 PM.

Not only can he not tackle, but comes up with dumb plays every game. His nickname should be 'Lantern'. The other night against Souths, he would have come close to scoring in the corner, but instead he tried to flick pass whilst diving over the touchline. Hello, is there anyone home SKD.
Like I said in an earier post, one of the laziest defenders in the NRL.

so is it taripo or rona. taripo is overrated imo and nothing special. Rona has potential but as others have pointed out, is a genuine centre despite having played a bit of wing. we have SKD, moga and leilua in the main. All 3 are not only proven first graders but imo are more talented natural footballers. Rona is also a similar sort of player to these 3 so unfortunately the reality of having good depth and a strong development program like ours (thanks to POS) is that good players will leave. Its simply a matter of ensuring we keep the best which in this instance appears to be the case.
Tagive and Oldfield are excellent players to have in the squad - great finishers and stacks of speed and natural ability. Neither are established first graders either meaning they dont have the price tag, attitude or demand for first grade footy which gives the squad flexibity and allows the coach to pick a form backline and even rotate the form wingers which I like the idea of. Both are also for the first time in a while, quick and noted try-scorers which is exactly what we need

Yeh I pretty much agree with what Roz has said, he's got potential but no more than SKD, Leilua or Moga as a centre.
I assume we were in the position to offer him a contract outside of the top 25 but the Cowboys offered him something better, this is just part and parcel of the game atm.

Will most definately have to fight for his position in the side as we have a couple of talented outside backs on the verge of first grade once Tate, Graham and Bowen move on.
Fai Fai Loa, should know by now what he is capable of.
Pangai, Junior Kangaroos and dominating Q-Cup at this stage.
Feldt, Junior Kangaroos, hasn't developed as much as he would of liked due to injury this year, still a real talent.
Ulugia, Junior Kiwi has been labelled as Bowen's heir to fullback for a couple years now and playing Q-Cup (wing first now fullback) despite being eligible for NYC.
Santo, only came into the NYC side last year and hasn't looked back since. Always improving and close to top of the tryscorers list this year despite how sh*t that team is this year, still has another year of NYC if he isn't fast tracked into Q-Cup.
Only Santo hasn't trained with First Grade but the way he is going he would most likely get the odd session next pre-season.
No doubt Rona is a talent as I have seen him play a few times but he has a big fight on his hands to crack the first grade side if he does move up north.

SKD is MASSIVE and Moga's a farking natural athlete!!! See his try last week? HE IS FAAAAAAST!!!!!
He's not your typical islander... he's super fit but still has the size about him.

I know the 1st time I went to watch Moga I was also impressed with Curtis Rona

Plus it was only a couple weeks ago that the statistics showed Linnett as being the top centre in the comp for defence with 90% tackle efficiency another reason why we are going well this year. For once we are not leaking tries on the edges with him and Tate out there.
