NOW he is safely inducted into the Roosters' Hall of Fame, Kevin Hastings dropped a bombshell that will have Chooks supporters coughing up their lattes.

Hastings grew up supporting arch-rivals South Sydney, even heading out to Redfern Oval to watch the almighty Rabbits during their glory years.

"I was at Mt Carmel at Waterloo, which was in the South Sydney competition, and I played my first three years there. My first coach was a nun," Hastings said.

"Then I went to St Mary's Cathedral in year five, and they were in the Eastern Suburbs competition."

I know. It was the only thing that tarnished the his Hall Of Fame induction. I didn't want to mention it the other day when posted some info about the night. It did take a bit of gloss off the night.
And then Ron Coote having a go at the club for signing Sonny Bill. He should hand his Hall Of Fame thingy back. Or we should take the bloody thing off him. What about Souffs signing Ingliss and kicking out Beau Champion, a local junior, or kicking out Ben Ross to buy every farken Burgess under the sun. I didn't hear him crawl out from under his rock to comment on those purchases. What a pelican!! Piss off you old Coote. I dont want you in MY Hall Of Fame!!

This is old news. He went to a junior school that was in the Souths area and was coached by a nun. He then went to another in the Easts area and the rest is history. This was reported many moons ago.

So, let me get this right, "WAS" is the operative word here? I'd rather they hadn't inducted him into the Roosters Hall of Fame IF he still "IS" a rabbits supporter.
