Rubbish! We're two thirds through the season. I am sick of people using 'returning from innjury' as an excuse for a player performing poorly. That's been a constant excuse for Tellii-Tubby Marty as well this season.
If Cherro ever gets back then some on here will say he'll need 10 years to get over his injuries and they'll use this as an excuse for substandard performances.

Aubs is not a center imo hes a second rower a damaging running forward at his best and thats where he plays his best football in the pack not the backs

And how do you excuse him for substandard performances in the forwards this year?

A player who relished in 2010 when he was given a consistent run in his best position. Since then he's been injured, played off the bench and in the centres.

He's one of the best fringe defenders in the comp and in a team with structure people would remember just how good his hole running is. Circumstances change but someone in their mid 20's doesn't just loose their ability.

Every now and then we see him and Pearce combine for a try that even the most structured well drilled teams would be proud of.

Unfortunately and this extends to more players in the squad, he'd be better suited to a team who's well disciplined and build pressure by playing field position.

The miss on Pomeroy was poor forr a so called good defender!

Seriously over the years you could play Aubs at fullback and he wouldn't let you down. This year he can't read defences, drops ball and doesn't get involved. This guy was my most reliable player.

Should be in second row & Smith has him playing on the wrong side of the field at the moment. Being constantly moved around has upset his confidence & generally with the way our halves are going by the time he gets the ball he's put under too much pressure.

I agree. He was my favourite player but he has been a major disappointment over the past 2 months. Is he carrying an injury? I also remember someone mentioning a while ago that he was one of the coach's favourites. Perhaps this has put him offside with other players?

smith is head fcuking maubs too much. give the players one major role/position to play (like being a tradesman.one job) and do it well then let the guy next to him do the same , then suddenly you have built a team of guys who know their jobs and how to do at 100%

Well next time you see him ask him if he volunteered to play in the centers. Then you can judge him. IMO Arona hasn't been doing shit but he's very average and if we want to keep our finals hope alive we must put the best players in our team. FPN IMO is very average apart from the Tigflukes game. Maubs at second row. Keep Guerra put Boyd to lock. Put Moga back in centers and Henry/Tupou on the wing. Keep Seluini, Taka in for Arona, keep Tasi, Masoe out for Bosden and fingers crossed Braith gets a long term groin injury while masturbating

The 2nd row or centre thing is bullshit IMO.

Maubs has always performed in both positions cos these days there is very little difference in either position, especially the way we run our structure.

I have heard for a few weeks now some rumblings about Maubs. Something isn't right with the bloke. You don't mid season become a gimp. He's proven for a few seasons now he's our most consistent player.

Get your hand off it John. You cant blame a coach for all that is bad. Aubs has become close to the worst player running out in our colours each and every week.

I remember my time at a now largely defunct smorgasbord style restaurant when we had a manager whom was utterly despised, who garnered the nickname Captain Queeg. A collective (not union) effort was made to remove him, which included skirting as close to failing our standards (not with the food preparation) without getting fired.

It worked and we got a manager who was a good man manager, made us work our arses off, and the workers respected him.

Interesting sidebar, that manager went on to have a less than illustrious career in politics.
