Hugo will probably benefit from this financially as a couple of clubs will be very interested in signing him not much future here
for him seeing the halves talent coming through the lower grad
es as far as Evan’s goes I suppose we just have to get behind him and hope he goes ok with no injuries at his age in contact sports you are a lot more likely to suffer a few

I think currently his game management, attacking play on both sides of the ruck, short kicking game and leadership on and off the field at the moment he brings, that we could use. Hugo for his experience is going great, and hopefully develops to hit the heights but asking for right now - thats what i think for next season he is bringing

Great news, we're going to win the premiership in 2026.

He beat out Hugo in every single stat last year.

              STUPID. STUPID. STUPID.

Is this Robinson saying I need a marquee signing to win a comp. IMO, this bloke was a marquee signing 2 or 3 years ago.

Robinson should back his coaching ability to win another flag with young halves, great defense and excellent discipline like Cleary did with the Panthers.

Anyway, not much us fans who are against the signing can do now.

              Here's hoping for a great 2026 season.

              (and re sign Wong NOW).

So I guess none of us will begrudge him winning another Clive Churchill medal?
Here's to a 2026 Bondi Beach postcode premiership

DCE has played predominantly on the right side, I thought Hugo was doing good playing on the left at the back end. He didn’t overplay his hand. Short kicking game he’s OK.

You mention we could use his leadership off the field? I believe we’re bringing in enough ex players and there’s enough of that currently around the club.

Hoping for the best but gee IDK if we needed him.

Not to mention the club has dropped the ball on this. They’ve made everyone wait to announce it.. you would think they would present the player wearing the new kit. Underwhelming to say the least

It may be wishful thing but I don't think Hugo will go anywhere else.

IMO Great signing. Takes the pressure off Sam, gives us extra leadership, good defender, great kicking game, experience in the halves, always professional, easts running short on hyphated surnames. Brave choice by him to sign. Welcome.

I see Hugo probably being moved on and the continued grooming, under DCE, of the anointed next big thing - Rodwell, whom most of us have seen nothing of. Hugo seems to have been an unexpected interference with that succession plan as Club acknowledgement of his potential seemed muted or qualified during the run to the finals, at which point, ironically, Walker was the weak link

Hopefully, they will see Hugo as the successor to Radley at Lock.

Savala is a nice bloke and all that, talent of the future, but for the current side needs I won't miss the predictability.
