Fox League are reporting that we may be interest in Murray Taulagi (Cowboys) and Keaon Koloamatangi (Souffs) who are both free to negotiate from today for the 2027 NRL season.

Both are quality players!

Taulagi would be the perfect replacement for Toops when he retires. Big powerful specialist winger. Great finisher and extremely difficult to stop meters out from the try line.

Koloamatangi is one of the games best strike edge forwards who can ballplay, has great foot work, runs a nice line and has an appetite for work. Perhaps this is why we haven't locked down Wongy???

Very good point. Not sure we’d have won anything for a very long time without the guys you’ve mentioned, plus the likes of Fittler, Tedesco, Beetson, Morley, etc. BBFL probably didn’t whinge much about them either.
I love that we have a strong pipeline of young talent, but we also need to be in the market to buy the best to be the best, simple as that.

You'd be a fool to think Robbo isn't interested when

1. Toops will most likely retire at the end of next year.
2. Marky Mark will be playing RU come 2027.
3. Taulagi is a quality winger , can play on either side. and is off contract end of 2026.
4. Both Steep and Wong are off contract at the end of next season. Neither have been locked down long term by the club. Why?
5. Foketi needs 2 to 3 years imo to lock down a 1st grade spot.
6. Koloamatangi is one of the games best edge forwards and is off contract at the end of next season.
