It makes no sense to sign Paps for next season unless Teddy is done and wants to retire.

The media are also reporting that Paps is linked to R360.

I like Paps however he's too small and gets rag dolled coming out of the yardage zone. Awesome in the red zone though.

Tommy Talau is a lot better than Junior Tupou so will be good depth. Still nothing more than depth signing I think.

As for Paps, no chance. No way they would’ve let him go if they had any inkling he’d join a rival NRL club. He’s going to rugby or having a sabbatical.

I think he is managed by Issac Moses so would be a long shot signing here.
Would be a great pick up at the right price though.

Paps is supposed to be “taking a break from professional sport”, whatever that means. My guess is Rugby 360, given it doesn’t fall under any recognised governing body, and could therefore be considered not to be “professional “. A tenuous position if you ask me… he’s still being paid to play.

I think this would be a really smart signing, ability to play wing and centre. Almost 100 games of NRL experience and still only 25.

Given our depth in the centres I would be very happy with this signing.

I can’t find any info on this anywhere. Is it just speculation? If he’s managed by Isaac Moses we won’t be signing him.
