Thanks Red. I have family in Florida who would be interested.

    A song to celebrate

Great. Tell us where and confirm the date and I’ll book my flights.

Fox League are reporting that New Zealand will host a SOO game next year. which will cost the NZ government $5 mill.

Kick off will be 930pm NZ time and 730pm in AU.

          More madness.
Another home game we can't watch at Allianz.

And besides that, Hong Kong is now part of China...owned and governed by Beijing.
US Secretary of War is quoted as saying we could be at war with China at any moment.
Sending NRL players into China is a very bad idea, if you ask me.
No way we should be sending our players there.

Good point BB. Sending NRL players to China’s a terrible idea. Let’s play it safe — move the match to Pyongyang. Kim Jong-un can do the coin toss, ref the game, and declare North Korea premiers before kickoff.

I suppose the Roosters would be earmarked for a game in France given Robbo's French connection.

Dunno what to think really. Frankly it's just another V'landys w@nk. To be clear he's not smart and he didn't 'save the NRL'.

IMO he's just a Fox puppet who's been given some sort of an expansionary agenda, centred around using licensing revenue to give Fox more games (and more importantly... SportsBet more games / unpredictable variables to add to your farking multi!!!) Once he's gone somebody's gonna be left with lotsa decisions to make about financially unviable teams & overseas adventures. For now we have to accept he's a genius though, as opposed to some creepy betting industry insider.

Do I want to spend thousands travelling overseas to see a footy game in the northern hemisphere's spring? IDK if I do y'know! If I'm gonna spend thousands on a family holiday then I'd probably do it for something I can't get in Australia.

Regarding combine trials and the like there was this glimmer of hope that you'd get a heap of buff American GIs who play rugby in the military (or maybe League while posted to Australia as a kid or something) then narrowly missed out on being drafted for $$$ NFL contracts due to luck/politics. Thus far it appears that these guys simply don't exist. You're more likely to find a buff Samoan guy cutting sugar can in the fields who's 7ft tall, has silky hands and has played footy his whole life. Though, even that's murky water as Karawalevu (for example - think he's Fijian?) never made it.

TBH if it has to be overseas then I'd suggest somewhere that Aussies can travel to cheaply without jetlag. Maybe have a few games in Fiji / Samoa / Tonga...etc. Then I can take the family over to a resort for a few weeks, watch some 'real footy', locals (who actually adore the players) can get hands on contact (maybe extend it out and an exhibition so they can link up with local club training sessions, where scouts are present) and then I can sit around in a pool sipping coconut juice / blue lagoons for the week. Heck do it in Bali if you have to!!!

I just think that given it's purely an exercise of throwing money at a cause (which will never be recovered), it could at least be closer to Australia & cheaper.
