    From The Daily Telegraph.....

The Roosters are set to reward one of their brightest young prospects in Blake Steep with a new deal before the November 1 transfer window opens.

It is understood that Steep has inked a new deal to remain at the Roosters despite 12 months left on his contract.

The 20-year-old played 22 games for the Roosters this year having made his NRL debut last season where he featured in three matches.

good to hear steep's re-signing. solid with ball in hand, with a little jiggle before he hits the line and really packs a punch in defence.
wong had a good year despite injuries and looks like he could be a star. don't know if he's still interested in union

Great to see we’ve extended Blake Steep. We need to get on with doing the same for Wong as well.

The shoulder-tapping of Sitili and May changed things immensely.

You can add guys like Gus (maybe Young as well though a whole different story about marquee wingers?) to that list.

I'm still yet to understand what benefit we gained from sacking May. He was killing it and we needed forwards this year.

Sure guys like Losalu and Foketi got their moments. However just about as soon as May was released, the Va'a boys got admitted to hospital with season ending complications (okay one played and copped a season ending injury?) I feel we pulled the trigger too soon before thinking 'one of those youngsters might not even be blocked coz they could do their ACL in training!!! That or their raw talent might not convert to 1st grade within 2-3 years'. Very strange.

If you want the good contracts then don't be loyal. Instead you get Isaac Moses to play games with Nick and posture yourself as somebody who's considering whether or not to play yawnion on a daily basis. Run it through the tabloids, take as much $$$ as you can get and setup your family above all.

Agree wouldn’t exactly say we have been loyal either
