  • JWH Wins Appeal

JWH has had a bit of luck and will play in ESL GF.
    Better luck than with nrl

    From Fox Sports

Hull KR has successfully appealed a controversial charge that threatened to rub Jared Waerea-Hargreaves out of the Super League grand final, ensuring the legendary former Sydney Roosters star a career

Waerea-Hargreaves confirmed in April that he would be retiring at the end of the season, meaning Sunday morning’s (4am AEDT) decider was going to be the final game of his career.

    Wasn't much in the tackle.

Walsh got fined for a head butt, and for what looked like a shoulder charge to the head in the GF.

Jared's tackle made contact with the head but there wasn't any real force in it.
I thought a 3 week ban was very severe, and a fine would suffice.

He only just came back from a suspension. Wish him luck, I will get up and watch it

Yes was bugger all in the tackle, so surprised he was looking at 3 game suspension. Wish him luck this weekend, have been watching a few of their games since he joined the Robins. Should be a tough one up against Wigan on Sunday morning. Also SKD is the team trainer !

Good luck to him. Looking forward to him being on the coaching staff in 2026.

Great news for JWH. He deserves to go out with another premiership. Absolute champion.

I'm normally up at 5am anyway so I'll tune in then to watch the end. Sanity prevailed by the sounds of things. What a shame the same administrators can't come and run the NRL for us.

Walsh virtually got off with a piddling fine, no such liberty to Big Joe in State of Origin against the said Walsh.

They quietly changed the rule this year. In the Bulldogs vs Tigers game when Taylan May fell into a heavy Stephen Crichton shoulder the ref emphasised "mitigating circumstances". Ref mentioned something similar after the Walsh tackle. It is commonsense prevailing after the embarrassment of the Suaalii send off.

i saw the tackle and was thinking it must have been the wrong footage. 3 games for that? they were suspending on the reputation not the facts.
hope he goes out a winner

Congratulations JWH. Going out a winner again. Amazing atmosphere as usual over there. 24-6 final score. Adam Hills is there also in his capacity as president of the RFL..funny not seeing him sit behind the desk at Spicks and Specks..Dom Young in the crowd also.

Oh my.. jersey ripping and fisticuffs on the full time siren..

Fantastic player, what a way to go out. If reports are true he will be back with us next year in some mentor/coaching role

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves gets his fairytale ending as Hull break 40-year Super League trophy drought

Hull KR won the Super League Grand final 24-6 over Wigan Warriors on Monday (AEST) in what gave Jared Waerea-Hargreaves a fairytale finish to his lengthy rugby league career.

The 36-year-old New Zealand international joined Hull for the 2025 season after 15 years and more than 300 appearances for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL.

Waerea-Hargreaves was set to miss the decider after copping a three-game ban for a high tackle, only for Hull to successfully challenge the ruling.
