No way did that ball touch the ground. The officials couldn't rule on it fast enough. Disgraceful decision.

Even with fantastic whiz bang technology it is impossible to see a grounded ball in a human centepide situation such as Sunday's game.

That ref just had a plain old guess & hoped the video ref would come to the rescue.

It didn't appear to be grounded....it was literally a season defining decision.

Is the technology available that can put a chip in a ball that definitively knows if any part of a ball touches the ground?

How does it tell the difference between touching the ground, touching a hand, touching a torso, touching a boot?
