The NRL has a public perception issue when someone like Mam is not only welcomed back to play but feted as he was on the GF coverage tonight. Makes one think how harshly Victor was dealt with by the Roosters Club.

The love affair/admiration of Walsh from commentators is not a great look either although the NRL seems to have a fondness for such controversial players

Pretty amazing win by Brisbane considering the circumstances leading up to and during the game. Adam Reynolds proving souffs wrong is my favourite story out of this.

I hate both teams almost as much as Souffs, watching Melbourne lose 2 GF in a row is priceless, 19 years is a long wait especially after throwing away the 2023 GF, however, deserved winners Walsh was simply outstanding, honestly the guy I’m most happy for is Madge the Broncos were supremely fit this season and that never say die attitude Penrith like all finals series.

I still think our 12v13 defence in 2019 is the greatest display of grit determination and effort in a GF ever but Walsh’s effort tonight was superhuman.

Well ladies and Gents that’s it for the year, here’s hoping we can make a real good run next season and lift the trophy again.

Kotoni Staggs was sensational as well. I’m happy for Reynolds and Hunt; that’s nice for them. Madge, too — man, his coaching form is off the charts the last few years.

That performance from Walsh is one of the best games I’ve seen a player play. Period.

Craig Bellamy has only won 3 comps as a coach though in a much longer coaching period than Trent Robinson who has won 3 and Ivan Cleary who has won 4.

The Storm will find it hard to come back from back to back GF loses.

Could well be the start of the slide down the ladder for the Storm.

C'mon dude..how many times has it been said Storm won't be as strong next season yet year after year they are right up there.

Robbo won 3 in his 1st 7yrs, nothing in his last 6.

Robbo can't figure out how to get his team to hold the ball or stop being undisciplined to be a serious title threat last 6yrs.

I think that making 2 GFs in a row is an incredibly hard thing to do. This year imo despite that the comp was the most open it has been in years, the storm were better than most and had a pretty easy run (depleted Bulldogs, overachieving sharks) to the GF.

Next year I believe that a lot of the top 8 teams will improve (the riff, us, Raiders, the wahs) and make it much harder for the storm to get to the GF. The storm missed their chance this year and last and while they still will be competitive I think they will have a longer wait before making/winning another GF.

The broncos were mainly shit all season. .limped into the semis . Fluked a win over the riff. . Were getting flogged by Melbourne ..and the game changer ? Kamimalakakitha drops a sitter..Reynolds who is useless is off..Hunt Walsh teamed up like before Reynolds came back from injury. Itwas the best thing to happen to Brisbane . to steer the ship.Couldnt give a fark who won.Walshs performance was sublime and determination. He was lucky he didn't get binned otherwise they would've been finished by Melbourne. Plus the worst coach I have seen snags another comp.One thing Reynolds will be a great coach..he has been coaching for 3 years now .Useless as a player.
