aliyah didn't miss. she planted a couple of good ones on broughton and robinson. i'm hoping and assuming that the kiwi tests will soak up most of that.
well done to kelly, sergis, kernick, davis, butler and kelleher for making the jillaroos squad. totally deserved.

That's a joke to be referred to the judiciary- how many NRL players have been referred to the judiciary for this
Aliyah has been charged with a grade 3 striking 2nd offence which is 5 matches - 4 matches with an early plea - how did the MRC determine that grading?
So being referred to the judiciary may mean Aliyah could be suspended for more matches. That will make it even worse since they were robbed in that game.
Jasmin Strange has been suspended for 1 match if she takes the early plea.Player Charge Record Plea Penalty Aliyah Nasio (Roosters) Grade 3 Striking 2nd & Subsequent Offence TBC Referred to Judiciary Jasmin Strange (Roosters) Grade 1 Dangerous Contact - Tripping 2nd & Subsequent Offence TBC 1 match* - 2 matches

you can't throw punches so she'll miss some games but she had 3 girls on her with robinson not looking to de-escalate. i'd give her one game for that. don't know how the altercation with broughton started.
she's been picked for tonga so presumably any suspension will start there.
apart from our established stars who were fantastic this year i thought parker did a good job at full back with some good defence and a great try in the gf. naividi obviously had a break out year - hope she'll play most of next season. lopamaua really ran and tackled strong and her try was no surprise. carlisle was solid.
hopefully aiken is close to a 9 month recovery. with a bit of luck she'll start the season sooner than she started this season.
as far as next year goes, it's looking good. we've pretty much re-signed everyone.
thanks girls for a great season

Nothing of course happened to any Broncos players involved including the non playing one's who ran onto the field and joined in.
Prince whinging how he's going to take it up with the NRL - Dude the Ref handed you the comp.
Coach Strange with rely on the medical/rehab staff prognosis on whether Tarryn Aiken and Taina Naividi will be able to play in 2026 as an extra two players will need to be added to the squad if they can't.

By the by, surely Nasio had a reason for letting fly. I think there may have been some personal space infringements by the Broncs.
but i'm more than happy with the team for next year. with millie boyle coming back we're well covered in the forwards

Aliyah was referred to the Judiciary so they could possibly hand down a longer suspension than the grade 3 second offence striking charge which is 5 weeks or 4 with an early plea
A Grade 2 second offence striking charge is 4 weeks or 3 with an early plea.
Surely with less games they need to come up with a better system for NRLW players than just using the NRL Judiciary Penalty System- a 5 week suspension is almost half the regular season in NRLW.
No NRL player would cop a 11 week suspension for this let alone be charged with a grade 3.
You can't stop any player from changing clubs in NRLW or NRL so hopefully the scuttlebutt about a players draft in NRLW and minimising marque and third party payments won't come into play

Take a look online at the 'Let Them' theory James. I highy recommend it for some inspiration. If some want to come on here for hours a day for the sole purpose of using the private messaging system to bitch about others, let them. If Vermin fans want to constantly bitch about our stadium, let them. If fools on panel shows want to make jibes about our salary cap, let them.
Some of us have places to go and people to see on a daily basis and have a purpose in life away from here and some do not. I just send them light, joy and happiness.
Unless they are Vermin fans and then I wish for them mouthwash, deodorant and the name of a good dentist...“If there is one thing I cannot stand is snobbery. People who try and pretend they’re superior. Makes it hard for those of us who really are.” - Hyacinth Bucket.

Worried about what the NRL Judiciary will do to Aliyah as she almost gave the game away last year (2024)
At just 19, a mentally-drained Alyiah Nasio wanted to walk away from rugby league. Now she’s playing in the NRLW grand final with one of the women who helped her turn her life around - Keeley Davis Head Coach of the Sydney Roosters Tarsha Gale Cup Side in 2025. Aliyah played in that team in 2025 before playing in the NRLW Comp.

A private message is only a private message if the content of the private message is kept private by the participants.
And there are many posts in this thread that have nothing to do with the NRLW Grand Final or even Rugby League in general.
Therefore I kindly ask that we get this thread back on topic.
Thank you.
