    His salary is paid over 12month period so 10 weeks approx. 20% - $150k + $30k fine

Fully support the clubs sanction on Vic . It's a fair and reasonable fine for the disrepute caused to the club . The suspension will most likely be good for his long term health and recovery from HIA's .

Sanity prevails, the donation to charity should have been 50 k out of rads pocket .

I love rads, but imo he f'd up bigtime and basically shat on nick after the club statement earlier this year re drugs. Very lucky boy.

Yes I know the players are paid monthly but loss of pay for a specific number of games is prorated by 1/24th per game.

It is done this way because its a 10 game suspension not 10 week suspension there could be a bye or even multiple byes in that 10 week period.

Whoever came up with that punishment should take over our recruitment. So good & should put this issue to bed.

Could be his legal contract came into play if in fact, as was announced in the media this morning, the club wanted to move him on.

What’s the clubs favourite empty phrase?

                    “zero tolerance”

                    ”We play for premierships”

I like Radley—he’s one of my favourites, so I’m happy with this outcome.

The Roosters’ response isn’t zero tolerance, but it’s strong and sets a significantly higher standard than other clubs facing similar issues. Politis is more than just a Chairman—he’s a father figure to many of these boys. He swallowed his pride, put his personal views aside, changed tact and showed restraint out of genuine care for his player. I don't think that's weakness—it’s leadership. More credit to him.

This will leave a mark on Victor, but it doesn’t have to define him. Let’s hope he puts in the work, earns back the trust, and makes the most of this second chance.

Thanks for clearing that up Fletch

My gut feeling is that there's more to the punishment handed down by the club than meets the eye. Imo Uncle Nick is playing the long game on this one as his hands are legally bound.

I still think Radleys days at the Roosters are numbered.

is that right about the amount it costs him fletch? i get that he will miss 10 games rather than 10 weeks but there are media reports that all up it will cost him a bit more than 150k.

looking on the bright side it will give foketi and steep more game time and victor can come back like a man on a mission
