    • Radley needs to shut up. The less seen and heard the better for the club, staff, board and team mates.

Surely he would have cleared any media comments with the club first.

Perhaps so, but even so, why give the tabloid media anything at anytime. It’s dysfunctional and evil as seen with recent media story’s by Breen and the nobody female journo in support of colleague Chammas.

            • “I’d have gotten 20 messages from teammates—they’ve all had my back.”
              Shame you don’t have theirs.
You’re happy for them to be lumped in with the chaos you caused.

                  • Obviously a slow news day as it's more than done and dusted.

Radley was not charged with anything and what was alleged is nothing even worth bothering about compared to what Mam did.

Did the Broncos ever consider sacking Mam? Not at all, so why would sacking Radley ever be an option for the Roosters?

It was poorly handled by the Roosters, especially in making their options/views public of what action they were considering, and there was really no need at all for Nick Politis to fly back from overseas to deal with this, as you have others who can deal with it.

You are comparing two clubs with different levels of ethics and professionalism. No problem at all with the way the Roosters have handled this.

                        • I don’t think anyone who supports our club dislikes Radley. He is a loveable rogue, one of ours and was such a force in our premiership winning years. The fact he’s a local boy aswell.

But my word he is way more trouble than he’s worth now. To me he has regressed heavily on the field (partly not his fault, there’s a range of factors). I’d be quite content if he never played for us again, we have so many young bulls coming through. He isn’t worth keeping on the sidelines for 10 weeks. I think that was a bit of mercy shown to a bloke that has given his heart and soul to the club. That decision by the club was about as smart as some of Victors off field decisions and I believe time will prove that.

People may draw parallels to when some were saying JWH wasn’t worth the hassle. Apart from his discipline, JWH was consistently our best middle forward and almost always turned up for big games. Rads is not on his level as a player and has not shown the consistency of a JWH. As I said above, partly not his fault. Had rotten luck with concussions and was unfairly targeted during a crackdown which probably makes him second guess himself. Either way he hasn’t adapted and Rads is surplus to requirements in the modern game in my humble and meaningless opinion.

The Roosters did sign Matt Lodge and Michael Jennings though and what Victor has been accused of is not in the same ball park as their two "incidents" plus Jake Friend was given a second go at NRL

Roosters have been clear on sacking players who are caught in possession.

Friend was initially sacked, but due to his age it was decided to rehabilitate him instead.

                              SKD was sacked.

Radley was not caught in possession and couldn't be legally sacked. However, you also don't get to take the piss by pretending nothing happened.

                                Our Club drug tests players?
Rads has never failed a drug test?
