The Daly M is farcical. How our sport's annual awards are owned and controlled by News Limited is beyond me. The NRL should buy them out.

So in the NRL you can't be rookie of the year if you played another sport at a senior level. But in Yawnion, you can be rookie of the year even though you played another sport at a senior level...go figure !

Why are you surprised? Different games governed by different rules.

Seriously 13. Can you not see the point Hawkeye is making?

For Union to award "Rookie of the Year" to a $1.6 million a season player, who was a rep player in League, and is now the highest paid player in Union, is absolutely ridiculous. Do they even have any proper "Rookies" in union? That anyone would have heard of?

The NRL has it right - of course Marky Mark can't ever be the "Rookie of the Year", given he was a rep player and Australian representative in Union.

And now Marky has been selected in the first test team to make his Kangaroo’s debut.

Congratulations on an extraordinary first NRL season.
