  • Dogs v Storm

Found myself in the unfamiliar position of barracking for the Storm tonight.

The media pile on supporting the bullscum is nauseating. They will be hurting tonight and I take pleasure in that.

And just watched their smug coach whinging about ref's decisions. They were lucky not to have a couple in the bin for hip drops that were ignored by the ref and the bunker.

And isn't it amazing how the injury curse ends up catching up with teams, eventually. Crighton won't play again most likely, and they'll struggle without him.

Kikau looks like he's broken a facial bone, but their club doctor appears to have rorted the rules by letting him back on. He mightn't play again either.

I hope Penrith whip them next week.

That game shows why its so hard to win from outside the top4. Having the players do that, go through that 4 weeks in a row to win the premiership .... is just so difficult !

Can't say I care much about either team. I switched off at half-time thinking 'I really don't care who wins here... it s*x soooo bad how we coulda been top-4 with a home final if we hadn't dropped easy wins against Titans, Souffs and Sharks/Wahs'. It's depressing how the difference between us and some of the p!ss poor teams that have finished ahead of us is ~2-4 EASY wins where we simply didn't show up. Meanwhile they were riding the top-4 carousel without proving much along the way...

I wanna blame Galvin (who is on massive overs - such a random signing - good for him I suppose) but ironically he wasn't responsible for that 1/2 time try. Rather, he was the only guy our there on the wing when that Justin Olam clone bulldozed him during a ~3-on-1.

IMO we can beat both teams as well as the Faders. Consistency's our worst enemy this season...

or that finishing 4th means you get beaten up. bulldogs were brave but looks like they'll be going out in straight sets.
storm are on our side of the draw. a lot of water to pass under the bridge but they look beatable

          Sharks first
          then Raiders or Broncos
If we get to the Storm they are certainly looking very beatable atm

Blatant hip drop on Munster but nothing to see here. But the dogs helped the NRL get Nicho off didn’t they? Looks like the interpretation of the hip drop is fluid and varies from game to game.

We are heaps better and more lethal than those 2.

But we finished where we did.

It is time to put the sharks away.

Is it bad of me hoping for a few injuries and/or suspensions out of last night's game?

I think that to begin the year , we were still bedding down the combinations so I would be hesitant to chalk those up as games we should have won and tbf sharks and wahs did make the top 8 .

Parramatta are prob similar but they took another 5 or 6 weeks to start getting everything to come together or maybe it was Mitch moses coming back.

Either way I'm pretty relaxed re tonight , somewhat confident which is unusual , but if we lose i still think it's been a terrific. Season .

Agree the roller-coaster year from thinking bottom 3 at the start of the year to the continual improvement all year has been exciting and awesome. I think all involved with the team have been terrific and if we lose tonight will be happy with the teams achievements but bitterly disappointed it isn't continuing. If we get through tonight which I really hope we do I think another win is possible.
