We can beat anyone on our day but to get as far as we have is a true success. Having said that I don’t believe we will go much further. The last few years we couldn’t get to the big one and there’s good reason for that. Finals can punish us big time especially we are conceding so much possession. Teams know that and I don’t think we can match them in that area. The effort will be there but a team with so many errors and low completion rate can’t go far in the finals. So I’m predicting a quick exit.

The completion rate against the Eels was appalling but apart from that it has been in the high 70s and 80s for the last 6 weeks and we’ve outperformed all our opponents on this stat. It’s an important metric, but some of our dropped ball is the natural result of good creative plays that just don’t get over the line. Robbo prepares his team well for semis. We won’t have a 50 % completion rate tonight.

Will be a good player in a few years if he gets good advice and stays out of his own way.

Right now he is a talented 19yr old kid and plays like it - for perspective Toby Rodwell is the same age and just as, if not more talented but hasn't been thrown to the wolves yet because it can hinder development or even end careers if rushed.

I don't think Gus or Moses have helped his situation with their public comments.

Look at the Storm with Jonah Pezet, he is 22yrs old, still can't play regular NRL but rejected offers from other clubs to be starting #7 because he knows his time will come.

I think he is OK, the poor bloke would be second guessing each move he makes on field, with such huge expectations on his switch to the dogs, certainly not a classy act by Gus.

Have to agree with that, seems like every first half is an error-fest. Some of it down to flashy play and pushing the pass but mostly poor ball control. Unfortunately, Lindsay seems to be reprising old habits as well. No power game against the Riff, Raiders , Dogs or Sharks without the ball but if they can make it stick as they have done at times, they're unbeatable.

Where our opinion differs is this year there are no teams like the Panthers/Storm/Roosters of the previous decade that were almost guaranteed to strangle the life out of any team that is imperfect. I would say this is one of the weakest competitions since 2005. I intentionally chose that year because the 2005 Tigers is who the young, flashy, and mistake prone Roosters remind me of. We don't need to string a few perfect games to win the premiership.

I agree about the other teams but still I don’t think we have got our discipline right to get beyond tonight but I hope I’m wrong.

Finals are a completely different ball game. Too many errors you’re out. We are not a good percentage playing team. The lack of composure is why we haven’t reached a gf for ages. You can’t be impatient push passes and drop balls in finals and that is what we do so I’m predicting a very quick exit. Hopefully not but errors are our nemesis.
