There's been rule changes over the history of Rugby League since 1908, but the Vlandys era has completely changed the fabric of the game. The 6 again farce makes manipulation of games by match officials so easy. It's because Vlandys likes race horses being whipped, and he treats the players the same - 24 tackles in a row on their goal line and on the 4th tackle of the 5th set in a row the attacking team knocks on - then it's a penalty because someone had their foot 5 inches in front of the goal line. Next set a try is scored. Whoopee!

I remember last time they got us in the forwards in particular bench so our middles will need to step up and we need to play a fast paced game to run their middles around

Even though we won by 3 it was very costly as we went score for score with the scores being level 3 times in the match 6-6 10-10 and 16-16 It was until late we got a field goal then a penalty goal

As has already been said, "extent of injury" is possiby novel but the qualification might have always applied to the dangerous contact charges. Hynes is an excellent playmaker always seeming to have plenty of time drifting across field so after recent years Elimination disappointments I was cheered by the possibility of his absence.

So, if there's a wrap around movement that puts an extra man in the opposition backline against the Roosters defence, how far is he allowed to stray from the sideline? 30cm? Sometimes wingers must move in field to cut off an attacking raid. I suggest that the decisions that wingers need to make are far more complex than your ultra-simplistic view that they need to "stay on their wing".
