We need to match them here.
If we dish up the same error prone first half as we did against the bunnies, we can kiss the season goodbye. We won't be able to get away with that if the sharks are completing at 90%.

The other concern for me (although some will argue it doesn't matter) is that more than any other team we score points down the wings. Sure, it's been effective. But the well coached teams in the finals will know it's coming, and where we'll go with our attacking plays.

At some stage, we'll hit a good enough defence - that'll defuse that enough times - that we'll struggle to get points.

I'd argue that shoulder charges cause less damage, but players still get suspended for it.

      What a frigging joke.

      Example #376 of NRL corruption.
If we are now taking into account the injury it caused a player then how did Harry Grant get 2 weeks for this tackle that caused zero injury?

I wont call it a shoulder charge because he hardly charged in with his shoulder- it was more of a brace when you see it front on. Harry Hayes got up and played on and the bunker made the ref go back to it to have it penalised a couple of minutes after it occurred. Ironically Harry Hayes hasn't played since that game...but because of a hamstring injury!

Yeah I’m of the same opinion - if we need Nicho to be out to win this one then we aren’t going far. Not saying they are crap just that there will be far better teams we need to beat after this if we are going to progress through this finals series. Also thought if he misses time for that tackle it would have been a bit rough. I’d be filthy if it were Sammy or Hugo in the same boat for that tackle.

Im just a bit dirty about the way it was downgraded - seems unprecedented and would have had no issue with them having to front the judiciary to get it downgraded and they had been successful. It feels a bit like the admin stepping in to disadvantage us to me.

I think it will be a good game - looking forward to it and if we bring our A game we should progress. Shame it’s at Shark Park though as it’s not fitting for a finals game - 13000 tickets for sale only.

For it to be a hip drop Hynes hip would have had to of dropped on his lower leg & caused an injury, Hynes hips did not come in contact with the bloke.

"A hip drop tackle is where a defending player in joining or committing a tackle, drops or uses their own body weight to apply pressure to an opponent's legs in such a way as to constitute an unacceptable risk of injury to the tackled player, this will constitute Dangerous Contact."

Hynes dropped his hip, Montoya was injured - makes no difference if his hips came in contact with the ball carrier.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

If we use the same logic then Humphrey's charge should be down graded too as Wong kept playing on

I will be one of those few Roosters fans out at the game. On the matter of Hynes I thought there was very little in the tackle

Easy to say that after the downgrade Mickie. You need to be posting your words of wisdom before the downgrade...

It was his knee that contacted Montoya’s ankle.
But Lossy how did the NRL the refs & the bunker let us make the 8?
Surely with the NRL being corrupt they would make sure we’re not in the 8.

Yeah it's one of those shyte stadiums where opposition fans sit in the mud (there is no stadium) and players are dropped off on a nearby kerb as there's no proper VIP entry.

Last time I was there was in 2013. My wife was pregnant and we'd booked seats in the stand for her (it was also raining heavily). Some tosser stood at the entrance to their seating with an 'official' badge saying 'NUP... NO ROOSTERS FANS ALLOWED IN THE SEATS!!!' We were like 'we have farking tickets that we paid for you moron!!! Also my wife's pregnant so this is absolute farking bullshyte if you make us sit in the mud!!!!

She ended up sitting in the mud though a fan who we've bumped into multiple times (kind old lady who always gives us stuff at games) got her a chair, rug and umbrella.

On the way out some farkwit Sharks fan snuck up behind her, shouted (scaring her intentionally) then said some racist BS. It was farking putrid behaviour.

Cronulla is a backwards shytehole that sits somehwere between St George and the Illawarra (somehow they missed the memo about the merger arrangement). Remondis shoulda kept their stadium and turned it into another rubbish dump as it'd be a better usage of the land. Noting there's insufficient traffic flow arrangements and public transport to host NRL games with ~2000 fans attending, let alone a finals match.

They didn't let us make the 8. The team did it by going against the script.

That is some story about you having tickets in the stand, and the wanker Sharks official not letting you take your seats.
I wonder how this idiot felt when the Roosters won the premiership later that year?
BTW, I have a ticket to the “ET” stand this Saturday night - wherever that is.
I’ve never been to Shark Park before, and I hope I didn’t get the same treatment.
If I do, I think I might get mighty pissed off
