I am usually upbeat about the Roosters chances in football games, but this is going to be one hell of a football game.

The Sharks have big hombre forwards and a few big hombre backs.

    Its going to really tough.

The 4 standout teams in the semis are Us , Sharks, Riff and Raiders.

The winner of our weekend game can go all the way to the big dance.
I think the Broncos are right in it...and they are playing really well without Reynolds and Mam...they are serious contenders too.

I’ve never been a big fan of the Broncos- I always feel like they don’t want to get involved when the going gets tough, when you need to roll up your sleeves and do the heavy defensive work.

I guess I might have to wait to see how they go against the Raiders, and whether I need to change my tune.

By the same token supporters hoping he is rubbed out are saying we can’t beat them if he does play. Pathetic suspension & not even 1% of a hip drop in that tackle. Deadset the games netball if it’s upheld. Chooks supporters would be livid & crying if Teddy/Walker or an of our other players got rubbed out for that.

The Bulldogs have written a submission to the NRL outlining the Montoya injury caused by Hynes is not as bad as first feared.

Happy for him to play , folds under pressure . But you know if it was one of ours he would have got 2 weeks .

NRL has back flipped and downgraded the charge. Would that have happened if it was one of our boys???? NFW
I thought the charge was harsh, but the NRL have let him off without asking them to plead a case. Double standards for different players/clubs.

I'm yet to see Hynes perform under the blow torch. Put simply, it's not in his DNA.

Sets a bad precedent doesn’t it. NRL has now admitted that a players injury can determine the length of the suspension, that they can also intervene at a whim to downgrade a charge, and that they are at the mercy of the media. Buzz Rothfield’s column has gotten Stephen Crichton fined and now Hynes downgraded.

Personally I thought the suspension was a farce but would have liked him to get off through the proper process.

Under the Vlandy’s and Abdo regime, it seems like the rules are just ignored when suited. I’ve never seen the game at a state like this. I’m not surprised though, I mean these are the same people who changed the rules of the game mid season and postponed Taylan Mays finals suspension as it’s “what the fans wanted.” Absolute bullshit

The NRL have already overturned it.

Whatever happened to facing the judiciary first?

A rort if ever there was one.

Very confusing from the MRC. Downgraded because Montoya's injury means he will only miss a few games instead of the whole finals series?

But yet I noticed Jamie Humphreys hip drop tackle hasn't been downgraded from a grade 2 even though Siua Wong isn't injured.

So the extent of the injury matters in some charges but not others?

The NRL need to seriously explain this because it looks very suspicious.

Anyway not mad that Hynes is playing, struggles in the big games. We just need to put some pressure on him.

                              You are very kind.

Anyway, Easts are all too familiar with playing against the odds. It will be no different on Saturday night.

Your last point is one thing i neglected to mention in my rant. I’m not annoyed that this has happened against us, I’m annoyed at how reactive the game has become, and how foggy the rules and processes are since Vlandy’s and Abdo’s takeover.
