  • Sandon next week

Robbo - you know it makes sense, Sandon needs to be on the bench next week! Shania Twain off to NSW Cup with Connor starting.

Sandon can and has played that utility role and we can’t afford to have a half go down again and have no impetus in attack.

I’ve been Sandon’s harshest critic but he has it in spades over Shania who had another average game.

Even if it’s just for cover…if we lose Walker or Savala during the game we then have the luxury of another half on the bench
    EASTS TO WIN!

I'm guessing you mean Benaiah Ioelu

Sandon had a great game however playing him on the bench is a waste of a bench spot.

I reckon he’ll secure a nice deal in the near future with another club.

Sandon is a hell of a young talent.

running, passing, goal kicking - needs to work on his big moment plays but who doesn’t.

Correct mun. Needs a spell in reggies to work on his game and stop making silly mistakes that put us under pressure. He has time on his side.

I agree Benny is not a first grader. Mistakes aside, tonight he showed he doesn't have the stamina to even last 15 mins of finals intensity. ZDC or Sandon please.

We had no aerial attack without Walker but otherwise we didn't miss the injury prone golden boy.

Maybe the hard working bloke from the cenny coast with the face of an ANZAC is the real protegee?

Either way very happy to have both for a potential finals campaign.

Huge show of character to produce a game like that after being overlooked and shopped around.

40 on the Storm in Melbourne on a Friday after they led at half time and we haven't come close to beating them in YEARS.

Sandon is okay running the ball but **** me his head looks muddled when he has to make a decision under pressure passing the ball
he and Chad lost us multiple games early on in the year and every time he looks to pass I get nervous he will throw to the wrong man or make an interception happen

Smith was awful in the first half gave away 3 penalties and along with Crichton was the main reason we were down 10-0.

8 runs for 34 metres, a tackle break and 1 kick for 24 metres, 3 penalties given away. Do you really think he's some kind of prodigy? He was without question the least effective half on the field and stifled a lot of our plays.

I do like the idea of having him on the bench as he can play more positions than Ioelu (Fullback, 5/8, halfback and hooker) but lets not pretend Sandon Smith is anything more than a utility bench player or back up half at best.

Don't bring me cold hard logic after the Miracle in Melbourne we all just witnessed.
