  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Storm

Last week was a huge letdown. Such a disappointment after three excellent wins. It wasn’t good enough. The error rate was ridiculous and the attitude was poor. Robbo needs to have the boys’ heads right. We need to see pride and commitment. Last week they seemed to be distracted and disinterested. That's unacceptable when wearing a Roosters jersey.

If we want it badly enough, we can beat these guys. They’re understrength again, just like last time. We need to put them away, intimidate and bash their weakened pack. No excuses! Time to right the wrongs of last week.

Collins, Spencer and Radley are key. We know what we’ll get from Whyte but he will need some support. Would be great to see our centres offer something in attack too. These two look like they couldn’t break wind at the moment.

Let’s show who we really are and erase the memory of last week. Our season is handing by a thread but our destiny is in our hands. Do we want it or not? Which Roosters team is coming to play tonight?

    Kick-off 8pm.

    Go Roosters!

The drizzle have ended our season the last 2 years. I’m sure they get great satisfaction out of it too.
the distraction this week was very ‘timely’ and I have no doubt our boys will be fired up but do we have the mindset to not self destruct when we’re in a grind. Unforced errors destroy our souls week in week out, complete 85% or higher or forget finals footy

Best case scenario a win tonight and a Dolphins loss Sunday means we can rest everyone next week

They all rested last week v Parra. No way do we sacrifice a win verses Souths. Not happening.

Not confident after last week and our shocking record against the Storm but I hope they surprise me. If we lose and flippers win, imho we’re done. I sure hope I’m wrong though of course.

I'm not feeling it following last weeks horror performance and with Sammy ruled out.

It'll come down to the Souffs game imo and the media will love it!

                      Not confident at all.

600 games in charge for the coach. They had a function during the week to celebrate it. They love winning on milestones. The players love the coach.

Any chance Angus can run like Sitilli last night - his cross field waltzes trying to swat players off like flies is garbage. Mr Toia, how about a 50 meter try !!

All the best Chooks. Aim up.

Billy and Bobby T both go OK.
They don’t make a lot of breaks, but they know they have wingers with a physical presence outside them.
Its not ideal, but the attack on both sides of the field seems to function alright.

Absolutely they go okay. Just commenting that I’d like to see more in attack though. Some early ball for them would be good. The forwards need to do their job for that happen.

I’m so nervous about tonight’s game. I’ve been quietly shitting bricks, while I’m trying to celebrate my birthday.

Good luck tonight boys, give me the best gift of all.

Roosters by ….. anything, anything at all … please!!

                              Happy Birthday.

They play smart tonight they can win. It's not even about being that smart but disciplined not wreck less and respecting possession.

Our forwards can get the job done. Hopefully Sandon really shines tonight.
