Nick Politis, as the Chair of the Easts Group, does have one might say too much of a say in how the football club operates.

They have a CEO, Head of football operations and recruitment and retention team to deal with such matters with, of course, input from others, such as the coaching staff, for instance.

Nick does not own the club, unlike what you see in overseas sports where the owners sack managers/coaches and trade players etc.

Nick needs to let those appointed to such roles undertake their roles and be far less hands-on.

They also said nice things about Dom Young, Brandon Smith, Chad Townsend and Sandon Smith.
No they didn’t they only said it about Victor mate. The press statements did I agree but I spent 6 hrs with two of our players away from the media and anyone else for that matter and they were candid and honest and they are very happy and relieved that Victor hasn’t been cut. The quote was from one of the two players directly to me not some pre conceived press statement.

          Hey Real,
Is that a question or are you being facetious?

Don't get confused with the spots he contracted from his last visit to the Philippines.

We live in a time when these things don’t matter much. Its the example a player sets for youth and children that is far more important than what his mates think. Children don’t only idolise their heroes, they try to emulate them, be like them. In my opinion it’s shameless the club didn’t sack him or he didn’t leave or his mates couldn’t care less about the horrible. example being set to the next generation who come to watch games. Has anyone thought about the damage done to the young generation?

I'm not sure that kids or youth idolise anyone anymore, as they are way too busy with their tech devices except during school hours, as mobile phones are banned.

Who or what is a hero is debatable though, as it depends on the time period and circumstances.

I wouldn't put sporting people up on pedestals, though, and deem them as being heroes.

As it's often said," Sport is a microcosm of society."
