Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Parramatta

The Roosters Express is at full steam and the next stop is Parramatta on the way to Melbourne. Confidence is sky-high, belief is building and we’re starting to look every bit the side we all hoped we would become.

But let’s not fall into the trap. Tonight isn’t about coasting through. If the players start thinking like us fans, already looking past Parra, that’s when danger creeps in. Complacency is the only thing that could undo us. Take them lightly and they could shock us.

That said, this is the perfect chance to send another statement. Parra has little to play for. The pride in that club is non-existent, they have no fight. If we turn up with the same hunger, same attitude and same intensity as the past few weeks, there is no reason we can’t put 40+ on them and keep our march alive.

Every game now is about momentum, belief and sharpening our attack and defence for what’s coming. We’re not just riding the train, we’re driving it, full speed, and hopefully there is no stopping us.

Not much rain forecast, hopefully we get a dry track I think the surface out there is pretty good isn’t it? They have been 2/2 last four games and been very competitive in the two losses they are better than many give them credit for lately. If our forwards keep the style of play up they have been lately though we will win this one. The forwards have been exceptional lately. The backs on the back of this have been very good. Young fullback is good but he’s young - hopefully Sammy Walker is on and can exploit this.

wonder if we'll start with the three amigos. spencer, lindsay and fahu have been huge but it requires one of them to play the whole half - can they do that for the rest of the season? with the 6 day turnaround coming up this might be the game to take a slight breather.
not sure what parra will throw up and it doesn't look like a gimme game but we're in the groove. the boys have been playing like they mean it the last 3 games and will be looking to build on that.
