I've been saying this the whole time. Yeah, it wasn't a great game for Pearce and he failed to stand up when it counted, but Cronk (bar the field goal) was not much better.

The difference in the end was Thurston, but don't bother trying to compare Pearce / Carney or Cronk to him, he's so far ahead of all of them it's not worth comparing them.

Fittler in the 02 grand final was non existant until his 40/20, when something had to happen, he produced as he did on so many occasions.

You might want to watch the 02 gf again. Fittler was in everything, he knocked the attacking banana kick back to Phillips then backed it up with a half break & quick play the ball that got us our first try. As good as Fitzy was in that finals series Fittler was best on field by a massive margin that great day & should've got the medal for it.

In 2004 the game should have been in our safe keeping at half time when Mini scored. What happend SOO game 3? NSW went into the game with only 2 props and 6 backrowers , whilst QLD had 4 and 4 thats why our forwards got bashed and our halves had no room to move... I also believe Hayne should have been full back he can pack a punch Stewart is a light weight.
