  • Your 5 best take outs from the Dolphins game.

    1. Sammy's left foot grubber for Teddy's try under the posts. This gave me a woody.
    2. Spence's try. I've been saying for the longest time that he can be an attacking weapon on an edge.
    3. Gus is back. Great form and plenty of intent.
    4. 1 in all in mentality. I love it when our players all rush into the melee albeit illegal.
    5. Hugo and Sammy's halves partnership is blossoming.

    1. Tedesco - surely the Dally M winner this year
    2. Captain Walker - sign him for life
    3. Crazy Eyes Lenui - scary when he's on
    4. What could have been - close out some of the stupid and unexpected losses in earlier rounds and they'd be fighting for the minor premiership
    5. Never needed them - Young, S. Smith and Townsend, glad to be rid of them
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Not necessarily the best, but 5 things I really enjoyed from the game, in no particular order.
      • Sammy's try saver in the corner.
      • Billy's flick pass into Donoghoe's face after he scored the try and our boy's reaction.
      • Spencer's carry on during the game and try.
      • Victor taking it on himself to put Donoghoe back in his box.
      • The birth of a new rivalry that promises plenty of spice in the foreseeable future. Arthur would be beaming.

You couldn't have scripted a more entertaining game. It had everything!

I love it when we lap teams as you can sit back, relax and not worry about your blood pressure.

Yeah yeah, I've never been more relaxed watching a game than that one.

Hugo and Sammy MUST be our halves next year! (Sorry if you’ve heard that one before). If they want to waste valuable salary cap space on him, he can blinkin well try and find a spot on the NSW Cup team bench!

Hey mate, I'm considering a protest rally out the front of Roosters HQ.

              Who's in???

1.I rate the Hammer highly yet JT pooped on him from a great height.
                2. Hugo reminds me of Freddy for a reason I cannot put my finger on. Perhaps a future 13 in the Fittler/Yeo mould when Rads leaves.
                3. Lock in Tedesco, Toupu, Mark N, Toia and Billy S into the backline for next year.
                4. We have a bit of a glut of backrowers and may have to adopt a rotation basis if we want to keep them all. Same issue with the 14's for next year, Hugo, Watson and Ioelu.
                5. Ioelu is going to be a superstar and will deeply regret letting him go if we do.

1/ Sammy. Cometh the hour cometh the man. For him to play like he has over the last two weeks after an ACL shows that this guy is not a pretender. 12 try assist in a handful of games. He will get better and we need to sign him for 10 years next time. I'll take 5 years.
2/ Hugo. Anyone who thinks we can't win a premiership with him and Walker have NFI. His kicking game alone is winning us games. His defence is one of the best halves in the game. He showed what he can do in attack on the weekend and I think this will pick up now that Sammy is there. Give him a pre-season with Walker and they will be a top 3 halves combo next year.
3/ Teddy is a grange that you never open.
4/ Collins, Leniu, Gussy, Rads.....all finally aiming up at the same time. We haven't seen that ever. Throw in Whyte. Our forwards are probably top 3 when they are on all together.
5/ Our back 5. Bringing the ball out of our back half, arguably the best attacking 5 in the NRL. FM we can score points from anywhere.
6/ Gotta throw in a 6. Our defence has been great the last couple of weeks.

But it was against a depleted Dolphins so we had to do what we did. The week prior was against a headless DCE led Manly team.
Massive test this week to see exactly where we are at.

                    1. We managed to calm the farm after the highly volatile first 20.
                    2. Radley's role in that. Put a couple of their player's in their place in the first half.
                    3. Very few mistakes.
                    4. Hugo straightening up the play.
                    5. Teddy perfect captain knock.

                      Victor totally nullified that threat.

Hahahaha there was definitely shaping up but he was clearly baited by something that was said first - I wonder if Spencer revealed what was said would the person who said it get 8 weeks suspension? You are right though the media chose to completely ignore that aspect of the starting of the whole melee because they want to paint Spencer and the Roosters in a bad light.

                          Anyway 64-12 hahahaha
