  • Home form vs away form

Last night was our third win in three matches at Suncorp stadium this year which is more than the two wins we've had at our own home ground at Allianz stadium.

Why is the team so poor at home and so good on the road? There's a lot of reasons why the team is in the position they are now but losing so many matches at home has gone under the radar and a few of those games should have been wins against poor teams. I'd be interested to know what our overall record at the new Allianz is because it does feel like overall we've lost a lot there compared to the SCG where we were dominant.

I can't remember a team having such poor form at home that wasn't a cellar dweller. We really need to turn this around in the final few games at home.

    Could be a drainage issue!

Strange season for many reasons. 3 losses to absolute cellar dwellers and many other games lost by less than 4 points.

Only 3 more wins so far would have had us in the top 4 with a realistic chance of winning the comp, with no real standout team, and us looking better and better with a full strength side.

Instead we'll be lucky to even play a semi final.

we've had a lot of disruption this year with players leaving and players injured. hard to describe the team as if it's been the same team from go to woe. of the six losses, the broncs and titans were in the pre-hugo era, lost to the tigers with more than half the team out. lost to the raiders by 2 and the storm by 4. came up v an in form panthers team. while all the losses were disappointing we've got a different team now and the boys will be confident about getting the job done at allianz this friday

Who were our halves when we lost those games at home?

To be fair we knocked off Penrith with the pre-Savala combination and we had a lot of players missing against Cronulla during the origin and we put them to the sword there's definitely something in the preparation that playing away from Allianz is easier for them or that opposition teams are rising to the occasion of the new fancy stadium.

with chad at half we were 1 from 3 away and 0 from 2 at home. i'd put it more down to personnel than a home ground issue but i think there could be something in other teams rising to the occasion, maybe the same as us playing well at suncorp.

The close losses were we only played for the first 60mins is why. Hopefully the young guys learn from it and start closing out games, like the last fortnight.

Next year I want to see this addressed - losing to crap teams. You have to take baseball bats into every game.

Our home form needs to improve this week. Should be close to a sell out surely.

                      I'm already getting goose bumps.

Mate I'm pumped. Can't wait to go to my old local the Nelson Hotel in Bondi Junction, have a few settlers then walk to the ground.

Great win in front of our home fans last night! When the SFS is rocking nothing is like it I just wish we could have gotten a MOOOORLEY chant in this stadium

I can still see him flying past the Dragons fullback for a try in the 2004 encounter which was the biggest Morley chant that I heard. Yes I have been on a Morley memory lane trip on youtube lately
