    • How many times would Walker have got us across the line if he were playing this year in those losses. I’d say three conservatively.

There are 6 games I can think of that were there for the taking. Warriors, Souths, Bulldogs, Raiders, Tigers & Storm. I agree we would have won at least 3 of those if Sammy plays.

        • and if you threw brandon smith into the mix, if he hadn't done the acl, we'd be top 4 no problems. credit to the boys to be close enough if they're good enough

I don't think Walker changed anything about the Warriors game honestly we got pinned down on our own end almost all night and most if not all of our attacking opportunities came from long range. Hugo Savala would have been massive for us though because a big boot could have gotten us out of trouble but their forwards belted us. The Warriors chances of a premiership ended with the Barnett injury

On the other side I would say that a lot of those losses were valuable lessons for the team. We should have finished off the Bulldogs, Souths and Storm but a young team probably needs to go through those challenges so that they can find a way out of them in the future.

Roosters '26 premiers book it in.

If ever a team was going to win the comp from outside the top 4 in the NRL era this is surely the year to do it, might as well be us!
