    Great old article from 1976, written by Phil Tressider (when League journalists were real journalists) reproduced on NRL.com for Indigenous round. Well worth a read for those who only know of Artie’s legend, and those like me who worshipped him at the time.

              I remember Artie's arrival at the Roosters - 'half a game Artie' they called him. Don Furner whipped him into shape running the Queens Park stairs. And the rest is history! His lasting legacy makes him the single most influential signing in Roosters history.
