  • Ethan Roberts to the Tigers

The DT has reported the following:

The Wests Tigers have taken advantage of the back row squeeze at the Sydney Roosters by landing one of the club’s most promising forwards.

It is understood 20-year-old Ethan Roberts has agreed to a two-year deal with the Tigers from next season, where he will join the club alongside Penrith back rower Mavrik Geyer.

Roberts has made 12 appearances for the Roosters in NSW Cup this season and scored two tries. He also made his All Stars debut earlier this year, playing 13 minutes off the interchange bench for the Indigenous side against the Maoris.

He is now set to push for a first grade debut at the Tigers as they continue their recruitment drive and their pursuit of a finals spot.

The Roosters are loaded in the back row and a move to the Tigers gives Roberts the chance to crack it for a spot in the NRL from next season.

I thought only the Roosters poached young players from other clubs.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

We should of given them Angus. Over paid for what he doesn't deliver.

Hope Ethan doesn't develop into the next Jacob Preston.

Welcome grand pa DCE. What is the coach thinking.

Seen him play plenty of games. Always thought he was useless.

They can take Tyler Morarity too. In fact I think he should give it all up and get a real job.

I see Roberts more of a Reuben Porter type...

We'll see whats happens with him over the next few years.
Who knows what will happen with him but I hope he becomes a gun backrower with the Tigers.
They have also have bought Pearce Paul.
