The simplest explanations are often the most accurate and glaring problems. No team can have any chance of winning the competition averaging almost 25 points against. I'm not sure who our defensive coach is but there is a number of problems not only with the newer players, but some of the more experienced players are targeted.

Until we reduce points scored against us as are just making up the numbers. Our current goal line defense is the worst in the league.

Always worried when we are defending on our line. I thought we actually had been going ok until last game.
But we're were missing four good defenders in their positions.
    NButch, Rads, Billy and Hugo.

But when Leniu and Whyte are defending on our line in the middle I get very nervous.

If you have no control of other aspects of your game and you're constantly turning over possession, it''ll reflect on your D as it's always placed under pressure. More so in the 6 again era!

It's all synergistic. Complete better, nail your 5th tackle option etc etc and your D will automatically improve as it's not under unnecessary load.

In fairness we are often defending our goal line due to the set restarts, penalties and errors.

So often we start well only to make a mistake and/or concede a string of penalties. We are then camped in our half for long periods and inevitably concede points.

is our current goal line defence the worst in the league? not sure what the % of long range tries is but we've conceded fewer points than all the teams below us, but more than all of the teams above us. sounds like we're middling.
we defended poorly on thursday. seems like the trend this year is to defend pretty well for the main but to have lapses. there's something to build on

Last night I watched the Sharks play a South's team missing most of their quality players and the Sharks were camped on the Bunnies line for half the game and there were no gaps you could drive a bus through like some of the tries we've let in recently.

Hi Billy, that's just 1 game. Can they sustain that?

With respect, Souffs are running last which indicates that every aspect of their game is poor.
