But, does he stiffle our attack?
Always going left, if it goes right we play back to the inside.

This season I have loved our expansive attack, it that seems all but gone since Walker came back and Hugo got injured.

Disappointing loss. I just feel like we left a lot of attack out there. That wasn’t Roosters footy.
Noone knows what Roosters footy is - unless it means we simply lose another game that we could have won

What are the chances the Walker Bros will be coaching Sam at the Roosters
I have more chance giving Sydney Sweeney the best 30 seconds of her life.

Sam played exactly like Sam plays. He's never been anything else - accept that and it gets easier.

Sammy is more Benji than Cooper in other words.

What's made that even more obvious to me is the emergence of Hugo Savala.

That kid is an ice cold psychopath who knows how to apply pressure and win. Can't recall him ever scoring a fancy individual try but good god did we seem composed when he was on the field. And that's more important. His composure is insane AND he's younger than Sam.

Basically I reckon Savala is the unexpected find.

I'd be more upset to lose him than Sam Walker.

          Savala is the one.

          100%
Hugo should be the half back & general
Sammy can play off the cuff at 5/8

Todd Carney described playing against their team as being hilarious as they'd do things like intentionally run the ball backwards in order to confuse you. Walker also admitted that gun juniors had their parents remove them from the team because training sessions would be pretty free flowing (e.g. let's just play a game of ad-lib footy for the first 30 mins kinda thing).

They're successful so it would be interesting to see them coaching NRL one day. Increasingly I think we're living in a world driven by tech/data where people forget to put their eyes up and observe what's in front of them.

A random example I always think of is a senior nurse who told me that when training other nurses they had to say 'look at the patient first before the machine'. Apparently lotsa new, academically minded nurses spend ages panicking about how to treat people who they think are dead, then finally look up from their instruments and are like 'aaaah... he's talking to me so is clearly alive... his HR monitor musta fallen off'.

I suspect guys like Chad mighta gone down that path of trying to over-analyse various plays instead of being like 'there's a farking overlap... PASS THE FRIGGING BALL... nothing else matters at this point...'

The deathriders have been silenced for the 2nd week running.

They will be back next week if we lose to the penriff B team.

The last 2 games have shown that Walker is now better than he was pre- acl.

Hugo was born in April 2002 and Sammy in June of 2002. Essentially the same age and could be our halves for the next decade.

There are 3 types of people in this world, those who can do maths, and those that can’t.

I'm glad you brought this up. I was going to start a similar post, so good work.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Its a massive game next week The Penrith B team is hard arse
The Roosters are as good as the Dogs but the Dogs have been more consistent.
I would like to see Sam have a top game against a team like the Dogs & get the Roosters home.

I could get used to that. Both love the club/culture too which is something you can't buy!
