I like the shift to the left edge, more traditionally Robinson has played his creator on the left edge (Maloney, Keary) and his more traditional organising half on the right edge (Pearce, Flanagan, Cronk).

With DCE, Savala and Rodwell falling more into that traditional halfback mould I think this move makes a lot of sense. I see Walker still being the primary playmaker in terms of touches but I can see the organisation of the side and long kicking being left up to the right edge half whoever that ends up being.

Overall in the long run this will add greater balance to our side, hopefully Savala is fit next week.
There is a lot in play. I can't see us keeping Sammy as a 5/8th if Rodwell ends up being as good as people think he is. There is also the possibility of a request to play at the Titans if Walker bros win the coaching gig.

People are too quick to judge. When Sam was out, most were hailing him as the messiah. Now he's just a naughty boy. Take a breath. Now those who were knocking DCE love him long time...??

What will happen if Hugo and Sam form a pretty hot combo between now and seasons end? Which I think may well happen. DCE will be on the nose again. Fickle pickles.

Sam is a better goalkicker than Hugo.
Hugo 6 and Sam 7 works for me.

We must also keep Sandon Smith and Dockar-Clay.
They are good already trained first grade players.
We must have "millions" left on our cap.
Put a contract for 2027 and beyond in front of Marky...if he won't sign it, move him on/sell him off.
We don't need to waste time training him, like we did Suaalii...only to have him leave.

Watching Sammy closely over the last 2 weeks I feel he is better suited as a 5/8th playing off the cuff which suits his game..

All he needs is an organising halfback next to him who can steady the ship and allow Sammy to play his natural game..

Thant halfback will eventually be Toby Rodwell!

All this halfback talk Walker, DCE, Hugo, Sandon none of those players fix the real issues in this footy team.

            1.Errors? Attitude?
            2. Completion Rate? Attitude? Respect for the ball and opposition. Coaches instruction to promote the ball? Why is it year after year we’re in the bottom 3 for this category?
            3. Defence wins titles, this starts with a hard nosed defence coach someone who built their career off it, and can get the team into peak physical conditioning, i.e (Cameron Ciraldo) Reece cannot get here soon enough we need him, he’s the blueprint of the ideal Roosters rake, I’m a massive fan of Steep and hopefully he cracks the starting side soon I’d pick him for his defence alone he can protect Walker all season long, Gus back to the bench (his form warrants demotion) perhaps that’s the rocket up the ass he needs Spencer to Reggies.
            4. Composure and game plan, perhaps DCE can rectify this, again I believe we shouldn’t be wasting anymore of Hugo’s development kid is as cool as a cucumber (but as far as rumours go it’s the worst kept secret he’s coming).
            5. Some bloody good luck on the injury front.

Short memories. We've seen what Sammy is capable of. He has come into a fairly new team after nearly a year off.
Now 3 weeks in and you can see he is still rusty, we score 30 points much off the back of him and some are blaming him for our loss.
Plus he got no help from Watto being 5/8 for most of the night and not blaming Watto for anything.
Yet if Toups doesn't drop that ball some will be praising him for all his try assists.

Sam Walker is the type of player that won't be game manager until he reaches 30 and starts to slow down.
Getting Hugo back next week who has such a cool head @ 23yrs old already should help Sams game.

                  I love posts like this.

Lets say the club takes your advice, we punt Nawaqanitawase at the end of this year because he won't sign, who do we replace him with? From within the Roosters right now we have Pauga who is not good enough to play NRL week in and week out, we have Tom Rodwell who played recently but didn't really look dangerous at all or we have Junior Tupou who I believe is moreso a centre than a winger.

Alternatively we go to the market and spend our millions, no great wingers on Nawaqanitawase's level for season 2026, mainly a whole lot of depth with the most reputable option currently available looking to be Dane Gagai who is in his mid thirties. In 2026 if we're looking to win a comp who do you go with? Nawaqanitawase or Dane Gagai? I think the answer is pretty simple.

I have a feeling Marky will stay. Unless there are a couple of injuries I doubt he would make the Wallabies team.

Perth is the real threat with the money they would offer but would he go over there for a few years?

If an Australian side were picked tomorrow, Angus Crichton would still be in the 17. His form since the Origin series has dipped below his usual standard, but calling for him to be dropped is ridiculous.
All I was pointing out is that Walker was responsible for the 7 tackle set and they scored on the 7th. There would have been no 7th tackle set if Walker hadn’t kicked it. As for Angus his form has been poor for a number of games.

Walker is NOT the reason they lost last night.

He is the reason the game was close and was only decided by schoolboy errors from his team mates and poor coaching from Robinson.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.
