Falou was always the real deal from game one. Moga is nothing more than an imposter at this stage and if he is the pussy that some of you say, wanting out of Easts, I would not hang my hat on that one.
On Moga, I have no problems with him blowing up because he is not happy with things, but wanting out of the club is nothing short of pathetic.

      3. Leilua
      4. SKD
      5. Folau
      6. Maloney
      7. Pearce
      8. JWH
      9. Friend
      10. Kennedy
      11. Cordner
      12. Aubusson
      13. SBW

      14. Tasi
      15. Guerra
      16. Taka
      17. FPN

That's an amazing side. Get rid of Mini after next year (this year would be better), RTS to fullback and we are laughing.
That team would give me wet dreams!

I agree 100% with the last bit, IF TRUE. As good as he might be, for an 18 year old who has only played a few games and who just signed a new deal to ask for a release is pathetic.

On comparing Moga to Folau, I think it's very unfair. Folau was eased into a superstar team from the wing and in his first season pretty much just fell over the line or caught bombs. Moga has been thrown into a struggling team and last week was one of our best players, he looks very good.

Folau at fullback - now THAT is a hilarious statement.

Unless he gets quality early ball, he is just an overpriced winger/centre. I think Brisbane realised that half way through his contract.

He is a great finisher and would look good on the back of a good forward pack with early ball from the halves. For 500k+ he is a dud buy.

It's all good and well to say you need to buy quality, but there still needs to be sense behind buying a superstar. Snapping up every big name on the market ... well, 2008 here we come again (Before someone mentions that this year is very similar to 2008, the two seasons are worlds apart, back then the team bar a couple of players DID NOT TRY).
Why is it hilarious to mention Folau playing fullback? Folau is very similar to Inglis, big, strong, fast, class as he was playing for QLD and Australia right up until he left for gAyFL. There is non better than Folau under the high ball! I agree with you that if you pay him significant money you don't want him out on the wing where he may get bugger all ball to justify his larger salary. It is the same case as Inglis at $ouff$ where he was hardly seeing the ball when at centre. So to justify their big pay packet you shift them to fullback where they can get far more involved!

If Folau for us can be anything like Inglis at $ouff$ at the back than I would be all for his signing!! RTS can come onto the wing.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

          Here's looking at you, kid.

We did buy Oldfield remember who is quite fast and adept at scoring, a good finisher imo.

since when did Moga say he wanted out?, there are plenty of rumours out there about the Roosters but that is not one I have heard.

you can forget Folau, we don't have the salary cap room if we get SBW, we have a serious case of overpaying for our young potential stars that have re-signed over the last 18 months.

Can't argue with any of that, that backline would kick some serious ar$e!!

Signing SBW and Folau would be huge for the club. Would also motivate the younger polynesians here.

It's about time we were hated again instead of being laughed at. If that means stealing some players and getting the chequebook out then so be it.

While we're on this signing spree (which I would support wholeheartedly)... if Penrith let go of Jennings, I'd snap him up too, and importantly, local junior James Tamou needs to be high up at the top of our shopping list too...

Now let's look at this team:

                              1. Anthony Minichiello (with RTS as understudy)
                              2. Israel Folau
                              3. Michael Jennings
                              4. Shaun Kenny-Dowall
                              5. Joesph Leilua
                              6. James Maloney
                              7. Mitchell Pearce
                              13. Sonny Bill Williams (playing as a wide-running back-rower)
                              12. Mitchell Aubusson
                              11. Boyd Cordner
                              10. James Tamou
                              9. Jake Friend
                              8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves

                              Bench:

                              14. Mose Masoe
                              15. Lama Tasi
                              16. Martin Kennedy
                              17. Tau Tau Moga
                              18. Tom Symonds

                              (One to be omitted).

Geez, shades of the decade of excellence in that line-up... I got goosebumps thinking about that side running on to the SFS on a sunny winter Sunday afternoon in 2013...
