NRLW Round 2 Line Up vs Dragons | Roosters

  • #2
yeah both wingers out but with hall named on the bench it's a stronger team. personally i'm not convinced about wood and strange in the back row - not sure they've got the size. gray looks the goods.
butler was strong in her first game for the club. wouldn't mind seeng laupamaua given a crack as well.

Strange was one of our best. She works hard and has footy nous plus she has played there before.

Anyone have any idea what has happened with Samantha Economos and Tavarna Papalii?

don't know about economos but doesn't look like she's with us this year. papalii broke her jaw in origin 3. that was a couple of months ago so hopefully she's back soon.

yeah, jassy had a couple of nice passes for tries and her carries were solid. she missed a few tackles and might have done better with their try. don't get me wrong, she's a good player and is in our best 17. mia wood's also a good player but not sure her best spot is in the back row.

kernick at 13 is great - the more time she spends on the ball the better. can she play every minute of every game? if so, that leaves a bit of space to rotate back rowers. hall's obviously guaranteed a spot, unless strangey wants her in the middle and i like the look of nasio, who can also play in the middle. lopamaua's another player who showed a lot last year

with both wingers missing this week, wood's been named as well as our nsw under 19 player logan fletcher. ekepati might also be in the mix

Thanks for the update and I'm glad we still have Papalii. We look a bit light on 2nd rowers with Davidson going to the Knights and the marvelous Millie not being available. Not sure I agree with Kernick at 13 .. she is very good there but has proven to be devastating playing on the edge and a great door opener for Kelly and Sturgis. Going off the Roosters website we have 5 props and 3 second rowers and 4 hookers which, on paper, seems a bit out of kilter to me.

Possibly still playing hockey? Maybe try a few hockey links if you can find them. A Canberran girl who seems like a bit of an all round sportsperson.

could be that when aiken comes back to run the show kernick moves to the edge. she's a great defender but 10+ more games of 70 minutes defending in the middle might burn her out

Mixed start from Nasio absolutely butchered a try when all she had to do was fall over the line then a great offload to setup the first try of the game.

Dragons looked quicker and more athletic than us big trouble if we are not careful over this final 10 minutes before halftime.

playing into a strong wind with a third of the ball and up at half time. can't complain.
girls have looked likely but a few errors. defence has been pretty good but a couple of lapses before their try.

Very lucky to be ahead at HT with only 38% possession.

Not sure why Strange prefers Carlile to Lopamaua on the bench.

Kernick has been absolutely outstanding today.

yeah, kernick came home strong. butler and pule were huge. kelly was kelly. a lot of quality work from davis as usual. good to see hall back and firing. nasio gave a glimpse of her skills. all up too many errors but enough good stuff to win and the defence was very good for the main.

I did read that Samantha Economos signed with the Dragons - Tavarna Papalii is recovering from a fractured jaw sustained in the Women's SOO game 3 - required surgery - no return date - Jayme Fressard maybe a chance of returning as the dislocated elbow and fracture doesn't require surgery.
