NRL Draw is a disgrace

The fact that we are one of (if not the only) club to not have a bye before any of the origin games is a disgrace especially when we have the equal most amount of players representing.

The draw is a joke. How teams play each other within a couple of weeks is bad enough but the teams that get byes around origin is a lottery. SOO should be stand alone and you play each team once.

Today showed what a farce the NRL has become. Origin 30 Roosters 28 with half our real team sitting in the stands.

We have gone better than I expected during origin.

I think if a couple of our non-SOO played we win today. Big ask to also have Billy, Rads, Wong, Nat and Sammy out.

But yes the three no byes is unfair.
I think Storm also had none.

That’s right. Why there nRl continue to persist with rep football killing their competition is beyond me. Imagine the EPL running games when players are on international duty….just would not happen

Origin should be held after the GF just like the Club Championship is. The entire season of some teams is ruined because of Origin.

Origin will never be played after the season, interest after the grand final would be low, some players wouldn’t have played a game for 5weeks, while others would be struggling with injuries from the season.

The first game would at its earliest be played mid to late October with temperatures starting to get into the 30s.

Unfortunately, gotta accept the nrls biggest money spinner is here to stay during the season.

Yes the draw is putrid. It has been for a while. I really struggle to blame the draw for today though, we played the Tigers weakest lineup they’ve fielded all season and failed.
