Easy to say that mate BUT tell us what is the option for next yr also taking into consideration Mini eats the whole 200k long serving player allowance..
The option I would go with would be to sign a gun young fullback who wouldn't cost much like Glen Fisiiahi from the warriors and have them fight it out with RTS and any other young fullback who might put their hand up. Mini is past his use by date, we need to give a young guy a go and I'm sure we can find a good one out of Fisiiahi, RTS, Wells, Alofa etc. The key is to have a good coaching set up to bring them on.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

You don't need to use the veterans allowance. Iam happy for him to stay in 2013 as long as he understands he will only get picked in first grade based on how he performs. If that means spending the year playing for Newtown then so be it. A club great in Kevin Hastings spent his final years at the club playing reggies.

Yeah and to this day that was a bloody disgrace he deserved a lot better.

Ofcourse you dont but when u get him free why would u pass up on it?
I am saying it is easy to write mini off but u also need to provide an option with ur argument and I dont see one atm. Obviously RTS is being groomed and lets hope he gets a run back end of this season and is able to start there next yr, which means mini will either be valuable on the wing OR valuable as second drop option playing for the jets!
Firstly, apologies if this has already been mentioned on this forum. But a friend of mine heard from an NRL official that one of our big name players is off the Dragons next year. But it won't be announced til after Origin?
Anyone else heard similar?
I heard from John that it could be SBW.
John says that SBW manager is looking at two 6 month contracts. The Roosters could have him till June 30 deadline then the Dragons would get him after that.

Really?
13 playmakers like Mini and we would be top of the table.
Did you see he is the 2nd worst defensive fullback in the comp? 13 defenders like Mini and we would be top of the table.
An opposition team would put a grubber every set and none of the 13 would pick the ball up. It would be like watching lemmings.

What next? one week with 1 team and then another and another and so on till the end of the season? I think too many rumours going around.
I heard they are after a former Roosters player Dennis " the white knight" Beecraft if they miss out on him they have set their sights on Bill Dart to replace weyman.....i was going to say AnASSta but the thread said a "BIG name?"
if pearce goes anywhere, itll be to the tigers. wayne wouldnt have it any other way.
The guy who we had Jacob Miller was bought by the Tigers he was the NSW 1/2 back in the U20's SOO game a couple of weeks ago, so if Pearce was to go to the Tigers, which I doubt, I would expect the Roosters to acquire Miller in the deal.
