Really started enjoying NRLW last year. Looks like there are a few changes from last years side with Mia Wood and Jaz Strange moving to the 2nd row. No sure whats happened to Tavarna Papalii or
Samantha Economos. Looks like Tatiana Davidson gone to Knights.

Hoping outside back Tyra Ekepati gets some game time this year. Speed to burn!

Very different looking forward pack to the one that won the premiership last season Millie Elliott and Tiana Davison are big losses, not sure what is going on with Amber Hall but she was absolutely destructive late last season so hopefully she is available to play soon.

Likewise re Tyra. Also good to see Shawden Burton back this season, has had a rough run with injuries.

warriors are full of union 7s internationals apparently. might be good to get them before they get the hang of things, especially with aiken out.

with the 2 new teams 6 teams make the finals this year. 1 and 2 have a week off while 3 plays 6 and 4 plays 5, then 1 and 2 play the winners, then the gf.

Kelleher's running game has improved a lot probably helped by her time as a bench utility for NSW this year.

Good to start the season with a win Isabelle Kelly easily the best player on the field with over 250m gained.

The injury to Fressard really sucks with the short NRLW season we might not see her again this year.

Going to need to see a lot more from the bench if they are going to trouble teams like the Broncos this year.

still awaiting news on fressard's injury. nrl physio says that if it isn't broken she'll be back within 6 weeks.

strangey said that they're not going to rush aiken back and 'whether that's half way into the season or earlier we don't know'.

Looks like we lost both wingers out of the Warriors game.

The Sydney Roosters NRLW squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following the Round 1 match against the New Zealand Warriors at Allianz Stadium.

Jayme Fressard was taken from the field in the 51st minute of the game after sustaining a right elbow injury.

Scans have confirmed that Fressard has suffered a right elbow fracture and dislocation. She is currently under the care of Roosters medical staff and will consult a specialist regarding injury management.

After displaying symptoms of concussion following the match, Taina Naividi was assessed by the Club’s medical staff and has commenced the NRL’s return to play protocols.

There were no injury concerns for the remainder of players that featured in the match.

Tarryn Aiken is continuing her rehabilitation from an AC joint injury under the guidance of Club Medical staff.

Tavarna Papalii is continuing her recovery from a jaw fracture sustained in the final State of Origin match that required surgery.
