  • Trent Robinson linked with Roosters coaching job

interesting to see for the first time a media outlet link former Smith assistant Trent Robinson with the top job, wonder if it is just another columnist reading this forum or something more substantial.

also looks like Chris Anderson is going to help at Parra. LOL!!

Wrong Anderson. Daniel Anderson should be our coach.

That would be our best signing for the off-season without a doubt. He would bring in better defensive structures, and being a younger coach would no doubt give us far greater options in attack. He's also a coach that gives pissed off at his own team rather than only the refereeing. That would see a significant improvement in our discipline. He got along very well with all the players and had a lot of respect in the club. I might get shouted down here but i would love to see Freddy employed as an offensive coach. No one can argue that he has one of the best footy brains going around. I saw more variety in attack in one City origin game this year than all the roosters games this year put together. He's no doubt matured over the past 4 years and i think head coach was a lot of weight to carry for him 4 years ago. With Robinson being a defensive specialist I think Freddy would complement him perfectly.

The only negative i see is if SBW does arrive in 2013 and Robinson is head coach, he may lack the experience needed to deal with any unrest that may arise within the playing group as a result of SBW's preferential treatment. Personally, i think our player's will be mature enough to understand the calibre of player that Sonny Bill is and i think they will simply be honoured to be playing alongside him, considering he is probably the footy hero of half our squad. I also get the feeling Robinson will not put up with underperforming players and if he does come I think Mini will be shifted to the wing almost immediately.

I like Anderson, everywhere he has gone his teams have played great footy and his teams have been successful.

John I trust that you know Anderson spent many years learning his trade under Smith at Parra and is said to be very similar to him.

A definite yes to Trent Robinson, but an even bigger no to Freddie as anything at our Club!
Let him stick to being the dumb wannabe comedian on the commentary team,i rather he is nowhere near our players.

Robinson has been my preference from the start but there is hardly any certainty in that one sentence.

F-Man, big difference, Daniel Anderson has won a comp - admittedly in England - and he has coached a team to a grand final with only Freddy and Adrian Morley standing in the way of victory.

Only trouble is, Nick Politis is as hands on as Dennis Fitzgerald.

I think it's time for an Ibrahim for Owner groundswell.

I hope we don't throw big money at Bellamy, he will just use it to buy more players for the storm

But i hope we do get his signature on a coaching contract.

Ray Price is also going to help coach the forwards, geez they're really rolling out the dinosaurs aren't they, I wonder how Pricey will go teaching them to wrestle, he was one of the cleanest tacklers the game has seen!
