If i was a player who took drugs on weekends out and come game-day had been clean in the system, i know with confidence i am not a cheat because i DO NOT have an unfair advantage during those 80 minutes of footy
Tell your story to your kids when they ask about them. Justify it to them. And YES it did help him in his recovery. Distraction and pain relief from DRUGS. CHEAT!

'Cause of the two of us, only I did it, did it safely, had great sex and danced like a loony. And what's more, I only endangered myself. Just as you endanger yourself when you drink, or drive, or play football.

FFS - have you ever gotten a speeding fine? Or a ticket for talking on your phone while driving? If you have, you have put others' lives at risk in a far greater way than your so-called "druggy".
Not even near my depth sunshine. You 'using drugs' argument is flawed because I have done everything you have done WITHOUT them! That puts me one step up on you already. Im glad though that you are successful and that your previous indescressions have not affected where you are today. I do still need to ask, if its soo important, to do it early to make you a success, why stop? Surely you could be a great success with drugs right?

Im no angel cobber and yes I have been done for speeding. I did the wrong thing. I admit. I was booked for doing 6kms over the limit after we arrived here last year. I assumed it was a 60 zone and so I was doing 56. Oh well, thats what you get when you are new somewhere I guess. The interresting thing though is that my judgement wasnt clouded. My ability to control my car was not affected by the use of drugs or alcohol so as much as it could be debated, no ones life was put at risk, nor were the lives of my 2 boys in the back or other road users as there was no other cars around or near me in the dual carrigeway tunel I was travelling in.

So I guess in the end, you will be teaching your kids that to be a success, they must take drugs, just like dad?

Wish he was at the Roosters, would be the best thing for us atm.

I think he's a great analyst of the game, talent is irrelevant it's generally those who had to work hard and weren't born with natural talent that understand the game the best.

I thought someone said it about the Hindmarsh brothers. I think Ian was making a comment, obvioulsy related to league and that statement was made. I know there was some scandal at the time it may have even been Mason re his defection to Easts or SBW who said it when he bailed out on the dogs, but I do know someone said it about Ian. Of course it may have been used in other situations.

Your argument above is the equivalent of saying: I'm an astronaut and I have never eaten cheese, therefore astronauts can never eat cheese.

Christ on a bike, you really aren't too bright. Here I was wondering what line of work you were in, and now I can rule out lawyer and scientist.

…if its soo important, to do it early to make you a success, why stop? Surely you could be a great success with drugs right?
Wrong. No one is saying it's "soo important".

You've effectively been saying that Johns' illegal indiscretion(s) re drugs put him next to pederasts and Nazis on the evil-ometer.

I'm merely saying that you are wrong and that if anything his drug-taking (such as it has been publicised) would only serve to reduce his effectiveness as a footballer.

Secondly, you seem hell-bent on backing your ill-informed ideas up with the notion that ANY illicit drug-taking, regardless of the quantity (or quality ) makes the indulger a straight-out ne'er-do-well. What's more, your approach is the male cyber-equivalent of Maude Flanders screaming Wont somebody think of the children?, which would actually be comedy gold were it not for the fact that you're serious.

So I guess in the end, you will be teaching your kids that to be a success, they must take drugs, just like dad?
Nope. I'll be teaching them that they can be anything they want to be, and that along the way they'll make tons of mistakes, and have good times and bad. And that I'll never judge them as I love them without boundary, always.

And I wager that with my liberal approach and emotional backing, they'd have a real shot at happiness.

                  --

I'm chastising myself for being too personal and rude towards you, but f@#$ me, you really are plumbing a whole load of depth with your position and subsequent defending of it.

Your a dead set idiot if you think I am a scientist or a lawyer. lol

You can try to argue the point all you like sunshine but the fact still remains, He was a druggo and you CANNOT argue the fact. If its right, then why is it illegal? You did the wrong thing also so I hope you educate your kids properly when it comes to their turn. Fine example that! Just remember not to lie to them ok. Tell them what you did and hope they dont do the same. As for the liberal approach, that usually leads to a society like they have here in the Netherlands. Personally, I much prefer a system like we have in Aus.

You still havnt validated the whole thing. You said that using drugs would be detrimental to your business. WHY? You seem to think thats its ok dont you? Surely you dont honestly think you can have it both ways??? Well maybe if you are a hippie

                    BONG ON DUDE!!!

Drugs are bad for your health, and can impede your thought processes. When you are in your early 20's, you and your mates go out and get bent, and it's fun and the consequences are negligible if you do it in moderation. It's like drinking, right? Same deal.

When you are an adult and have immovable responsibilities, you can ill-afford to wreck yourself. So you don't.

Come on mate, it ain't rocket surgery.

Wow. Drugs are illegal. That's your insight?

You do realise it was legal to force Aboriginals to breed with whites only like 30 years ago, yeah? Some laws are good, some are bad.

in australia, it is illegal to wear hot pink pants after midday on sundays.

Yep, you really have no argument. Just proven by that river of dribble right there^^^^^^^^^^^.

Lets agree to disagree as this could go on until the start of the 2013 season.
