I did say when Tupou retires which is now looking like end of 2027.

I also believe that we will lose Marky if he is not shifted to the centres because no way we will pay big money for a winger.

I'd be surprised if Toops plays beyond next season.

I recall hearing they were considering one more year for 2027. Tupou is still playing well enough.

I do worry Marky will leave although a few weeks back his manager said he will extended for 2 more years at $700K.
Would be a massive loss and $700K will be a bargain in 2 years time.
But he has to play centre for that kind of money.
It's not only the ARU. Perth will probably offer bigger money.

On radio this morning they said if he wants to play in the 2027 World Cup, he would have to be playing for a super rugby club in that year, his contract with us runs til the end of 2026.

If Suaalii is worth $1.5mill then
Mark is worth $2mill, especially with the NRL highlights now added to his CV

That kind of money would be hard to turn down.

How much will he be worth when he performs his second miracle and become Saint Marky?

The ARU don't have a spare $2M. Look at all the noise when they got JS for $1.5M.

I can't see them doing the same for Marky. They still have some very capable players who are on far less than that.

EDIT: Plus Marky was doing this kind of stuff when playing union. He hasn't just developed all these skills. Yet the ARU chose to offer JS $1.5M per year instead. Maybe he was just ready for a change and a new challenge.
