thanks fletch. with the origin series just played not surprising we're resting a few. you'd figure baxter, sergis, aiken, hall and papalii will be in our best 17.

keen to see how the girls go. sportsbet has the comp as a 2 horse race between us and the broncos which doesn't sound too far off the mark.

kernick at 13 is interesting. could be that's the plan for the season with hall as one edge forward and strange as the other. makes sense with fressard and parker as the wingers with wood as great back up.

keen to see how nasio and lopamaua are tracking. they both look huge talents. also watching butler in her first game for the club

Tyra Ekepati was great in the Womens U19 State of origin game, going to struggle to get a game in ahead of Sergis & Kelly though.

Sergis is basically guaranteed to pick up and injury at some point so Ekepati might get her chance this season.

Winger Mia Wood playing in the backrow is interesting too.
May improve her chances of being included in the squad and coming off the bench. I felt for her last year playing most of 2024 on the wing and being overlooked in the finals.

FYI, league runs through the genes with Mia. She's the daughter of ex boxer and Souffs player Garth Wood and the niece of ex Rooster Nat Wood.
Some of our more senior members on here like Mickie would probably remember her pop Barry Wood. Barry was once the Packer's personal trainer.

                Who won?
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

a draw. 3 tries a piece. no goal kicks allowed.
good hit out for the girls. started with the first 3 tries then the sharks scored their 3 when we'd taken a few off.
not sure what the plan for nasio is but she looks like she can be seriously good. lopamaua also looked good.

backs probably pick themselves with parker on the wing. not sure where kernick plays. putting her at 13 would allow a good prop rotation of pule, butler, lopamaua and nasio, but not sure about who's the other second rower other than amber hall.
