If that 850 large figure is true or close to true, I hope this prick blows his ACL in the first game so the Karmichael Hunts who brought him here will be disgraced.

The example he will set for the younger players as a senior member of the team will be second to none.
On the one year deal ( if true ) it gives both sides an out if things don't work out.
I think there is a dedicated pokie machine at the club that Freddy is still being paid from.

Guys like Bellamy would want total control on everything & rightly so. Could you imagine Bellamy not knowing the CEO of the Storm had given permission for Anthony Quinn to transfer to another club mid season.

Maybe just maybe guys like Nick dont pursue guys like Bellamy & vise versa guys like Bellamy dont want to coach at a clubs where they dont have total total control.

          2 control freaks wouldn't work.
Apparently Bellamy didnt know half his team had signed multiple contracts either...

Imo I believe that Nick and Bellamy can work together. I have a feeling that Nick doesn't have much respect for Smiffy with his mind made up that Smiffy is going to be shown the door very soon, which probably explains why Nick is keeping him in the dark as he sees no value in Smiffy's opinion as he is no longer in the plans.

It would be in Nick's best interests and hopefully he is smart enough to see it, to give Bellamy full control in the running of the club. Surely at the end of the day all that Nick wants is for the Roosters to be successful and winning premierships, no matter what it takes to achieve it, even if it means swallowing some pride. I'm sure Nick would be happy to pull in the same direction as Bellamy as Bellamy would be in the clubs long term future plans.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

              Here's looking at you, kid.

Rooster Oracle I think having a Nick Politis at your club in charge is as good as it is bad. Nick being such a rich & powerful man would have a massive ego & pretty much think that he was right on everything he says & does. Nick would still do things 1 on 1 with certain players regardless who the coach was IMO. He would involve himself in football issues or issues to do with players that were away from the game.

This intern would have Nick building relationships with certain players thats where the breakdown begins. Thats why I dont think Bellamy would come to the club.

spot on mickey.the control freak factor and ego of our chairman hinders the footie team in so many different aspects.it also surprises me how fans think politis forks out his own dough.he may have or do to some extent perhaps yet i think its grossly overated his investment in the team he is more about making money out of the club and thats why the board is a closed shop.

Exactly. Hasler has made an immediate impact with an over achieving squad.

They will be even better next year.

                    But we are still re-building...

                          Well said. Agree 100%.

The benefits of SWB at Easts, even for one year, outweigh the risks by a very wide margin.

True. The people who think he's gonna walk out again are muppets. Its a 1 year deal. Sponsorship, merchandise, memberships will skyocket. We will also get more tv slots and become a top 4 team. A top 4 team will lure fans though the gates because chooks fans will be confident that they'll be watching a team who's going to perform not a team that gets smashed 52-14. I always wanna watch the Roosters but I never know if its the contenders or the flops.

SBW will be great and he can cover for SKD when he's injured as he can play centre es not a primary forward. Hes also at a vey elite level so players can learn from him. Hes also a good entertainer and can become a poste boy for the Rooosters.

We can also look at signing a goat.

Without Nick Politis we would be broke. We wouldnt have been able to resign JWH, SKD etc because we cant reach the full capacity of the cap. Who lued Fittler, Fitzy etc. The only problem is the COACH I REPEAT THE COACH and 5/8 who'll be sorted out next year.
