Now that is some positive news.

Our team again lacks speed with Dom Young’s release, however speed is but one aspect of the game, our defence on the edges has been fantastic, our yardage carries have been great and overall balance of the team is much better, the academy is beginning to pay dividends couple of youngsters have been included in extended squads Pauga is continuing his rehab.

The club has been extremely poor with its recruitment targets signing these 500k players and then releasing them sets a very poor precedent not honouring contracts and we wonder players do it also, Dom should have been given at least a few months to improve these aspects of his game.

Im giving recruitment both barrels here who have been terrible over the last few seasons (proof of this has been the signing of Canberra’s recruitment man) buying the shiny new toy and then we send them packing when it doesn’t work out, we have the academy show some patience trust in the process.

DCE is a mercenary I don’t want to see this bloke come in and destroy what we have going, I hope nothing has been agreed to and we end this facade of trying to buy a premiership.

I liked him but I think Mark N is our future right winger and Dom is too expensive/good to simply be depth.

We should have at least kept him until the end of the season.

Let’s prey we don’t get decimated in the outside backs from now till Sep-Oct.

Stop buying garbage from other teams and instead focus on brighter, young prospects instead.
With so much salary cap available we had the opportunity to buy more than we needed, keep the best, and get rid of the surplus.

Junior Pauga has been out a long time, and I doubt he will be back any time soon after reading the update today. I wonder where Tyreece Tait is at as he looks like Tupou's long term replacement. Ethan King might get the gig, but I thought he struggled in his debut making ground and I'm not sure Tom Rodwell is in the top 30.

I thought he was good for us last year. Who else was there to replace him inhouse?

If it wasn't for Marky coming good then Dom would still be our next best option. Now it is Tom Rodwell who is unknown at NRL and after that there is not much to give you great confidence.

He was a good buy at the time but Marky has clearly overtaken him and at the price it is the right thing to move him on. And remember we didn't approach the Knights. They approached us.

Good luck to him. I hope he scores plenty of tries to keep King happy.

Seems like a cool dude, but I'm happy that he's gone if I'm honest. I was really stoked when we signed him, and expected him to really kick on. Considering we are a team prone to brain explosions, being the most brain-explosion-happy player in the team was somewhat impressive.

I hope he kills it at Newcastle, as he is good to watch. Wish him all the best, but definitely think this was the right move.

A good finisher when given open space to turn on the jets but a terrible defender and this year he didn't seem interested in taking the hard carries, Young is the poster boy for the "speed is all you need" crowd

I wonder who will replace him in round 18 against the Tigers?
